Some of you may remember that I have from time to time done projections for the league, when time permitted. Well, this forum has been pretty dead this season, and I had a little free time, so I figured that I would throw some stuff out, and see if I could get people talking.
I've never ran the league ranking script before, I don't even know if its the right one, its just the only one I could find. So, I hold no promises that this thing is accurate in the least.

As for my projections?........... Just remember, you get what you pay for!
LION
Johannesburg Jackals vs. Carthaginian War Elephants
The Jackals have started out hot this season, and would love to keep their streak alive. The War Elephants have been kind of up and down this season, but I expect nothing but their best shot this week. They have a good team and have the ability to win any given week. BUT, if I predicted anything but a Jackal win, the team would disown me. JJ wins 38-34
Answer Please vs. Dryden Blue Balls
BALLS!!! I have been very impressed by Dryden this season. They are playing well above their levels, and that is a testament to their build and game plans. The Answer Please have had an extremely good season so far, after a very disappointing season 10. Their lone loss came in over time to the Jackals. They also have a very convincing win over the Nile Denial on the resume. For these reasons I gotta go with AP to win, 45-32
CollegeTown USA vs. Flashdancing Platypi
College Town, another team new to AAA this season, has also been looking pretty tough. The only question is can they stop drinking long enough to focus for the playoffs this season? Or, who knows, maybe they play better drunk. The Platypi are a shell of their former team, and I'm assuming are going to be dropping down to 13 cap at the end of the season. College Town keeps the TD's and the beer flowing this week, and win big.
The Nile Denial vs. Mean Machine
The Mean Machine are coming off of their first win of the season! Unfortunately, they have to play The Nile Denial this week. TND was the preseason pick to win the conference, and are looking strong currently at 4-1. I have no doubt that they will be where they need to be come the end of the season. TND wins this one 58-17
Zulu Death Warriors vs. Rwanda Headhunters
This should be a really good game. These teams are both very good, and I see this one being a slug fest. The Death Warriors are having a great season so far, as expected, with their only blemish a 6 point loss to College Town. They are also the only team to beat Choctaw. The Head hunters have 2 losses, and definitely don't want a 3rd this early in the season. They have the talent to win each and every week, for sure. This is a tough one to call...... Let's go with Zulu to win this one 33-30.
Dakar Vampires vs. PTT Rebels
Dakar is another new team that has been turning some heads. They look to be a very tough team, but are probably a season away from being one of the heavy hitters. I still look for them to have some big wins throughout the season though. PTT is another team that's kind of ran hot and cold this season. You kind of get the feeling with them, that they are just biding their time until the playoffs start. I expect PTT to win this one 27-20
Tangiers Cape Buffalo vs. Band of Brothers
I've been a little disappointed in BoB so far this season. After big wins last season over the Jackals and The Nile Denial, I expected them to have a better showing this season. I expect they are looking to bounce back this week. TCB are coming into this game at 1-4, but I have actually liked what I have seen from them thus far. I expect them to finish this season a lot stronger then they started, and it begins this week. TCB wins 34-21
Somalia Shango vs. Newfoundland Norsemen
Somalia has had a rough go of it so far this season, but they get a reprieve this week, as they play the CPU's.
ELEPHANT
Swaziland Semnikati vs. Bien Hoa Bushidos
Swaziland comes into this game at 5-0, and you can't ask for a better start then that. I do question their SoS so far though. They will have to keep this streak going through week 8 before I start drinking the Cool Aid. The Bushidos are 0-5, but I expect they will right the ship and start to look better as the season goes on. I like Swaziland to win this one however. 52-24
Mamelodi Night Runners vs. Gambia Diamond Cutters
MNR are undefeated and looking forward to their 3rd 1pt championship game loss. (just kidding guys, you know i love you!) In all seriousness, I expect these guys to make a strong showing all season long, and go deep into the playoffs. The Diamond Cutters are closing up shop. MNR big.
Blood Diamond Marauders vs. Seychelles Sabercats
BDM has been looking very good so far this season, but are coming off of their first loss of the season to Choctaw. They actually out gained Choctaw by 130 total yards. Losses like that usually sting, and I expect they will be up for this game. Seychelles is yet another new comer to the AAA ranks, and have made an immediate impact. They too are coming off of their first loss of the season. Two tough teams, but my nod goes to BDM in this one. 40-32
Choctaw Cracker Party vs. Rhodesia Ratels
Choctaw is going to win the conference. Everyone remember that you heard it here first. Choctaw has been looking good this season in all cerealness. They are coming off of a big win over BDM, and would love to push their win streak up to 5 with a win over the Ratels. RR have been having a nice season of their own, with their only loss coming from that same BDM team. Here comes the obligatory RR talk: Jessica Landry. There, are you happy?
Honestly, this is a tough one to call, but I'm going to pick RR to win this one. Why not!? How about......32-27?
Swaziland Southern Brown Mambas vs. Corrupted Presidents
The SSBM is another Elephant team at 4-1. Is everyone 4-1 in elephant? The Mambas have been looking pretty good, but they are another team that seems to have a bottom loaded schedule. We'll see if they can sustain their good run. The Corrupted Presidents is another team that's had kind of a roller coaster type of season. Will this week be a high, or a low? I'm going with SSBM in this one, 36-28
Blood Bowl vs. River Styx Jinx
Good old River Styx Jinx. The last of the originals. We had some battles with the Malice, and I'm glad you guys are still around and playing hard. RSJ is coming off of a very nice win over the Sabercats, and may have found the cure for their troubles. The Blood Bowl is yet another 4 win Elephant team, and are looking to make it 5 after a win over RSJ. I'm going to root for the old timers for this one though. RSJ wins 27-24
Teikoku Alexanders vs. Asmara Freedom Fighters
Two teams that have been having disappointing so far, are looking to have some success in week #6. I was expecting a little more from Teikoku this season, after they went undefeated last season. I'm sure they were expecting better results as well. AFF is one of the lowest leveled teams in the league, and have just been trying to tread water this season. I have no doubt that they will be a team to be reckoned with next season. I think TA wins this one 32-24
Andorian Commandos vs. ßotswana ßone ßreakers
The bad news is both of these teams are without a win this season. The good news is, one of them will have one after week #6. (well, unless they tie I guess). Both teams are looking like they have some chemistry issues, so I'll take the one that has more. Andorian wins this one.
These will not be an every week thing, so don't expect them. I'll do them when I have time. If you don't like them...... make your own.
