I'm thinking about boosting my O-Line players on the Pee Wee team this season and the beginning of next season for a total of 45 SP to distribute before a game is played.

Player would be at the 2nd cap of Strength once season starts. After Game 7, he'll reach Level 10 and reach 3rd cap. Player would reach level 13 after Game 14. All the while, training Blocking which would reach the first cap by playoff time. Center would reach it faster, then Guard and Tackle might be a few points behind due to level up gains.

Has anyone ever done this? Just curious as to the results. I'm assuming no defense could penetrate the O-Line and the running gmae would be near unstoppable.

I don't plan on keeping my O-Line players beyond their Pee Wee season.

I'd rather boost at the end of the season, otherwise if you boost now you'll cost yourself a level and worse training value all season. Will probably amount to 8-9 less SP on your build when the important games roll around.

my friend and I were having a debate about something similar to this.

he wanted to boost his new players before the start of season 11...I feel like it is a mistake but I am kinda new to this whole slowbuild thing so I couldn't explain why it was bad...can you tell me why it's a mistake?

the highest is your level, less XP/day you get. Less XP/day means that you will be in lower lvl when the guy that didn't boost do it just before the playoffs becouse he earned more XP/day.

yeah I understand that, but I am talking about boosting now though, for season 10. I know that you will lose XP, but it is almost like being able to boost twice in a season b/c you could boost a player now, then season 11 starts, then you boost during the season 11 playoffs...am I explaining it better now?

If I boost now, then at the beginning of the season, he'll start Season 11 at level 7 with Strength already second capped. Through the course of season 11, he'll reach level 13 around Game 15. So, he'll be at the same level as anyone else that boosts come playoff time except he'll be at the third cap of Strength due to level up gains being more valuable. Also, I could first cap Blocking to round him out more.

Didn't know that. Well, that cancels that plan then.

If you are playing on a pee wee team, on rollover day, there will be a script run, any player above lvl 1 is automatically removed from the pee wee roster. The best bet for pee wee is to create a player on day 31, so at rollover to the new season they have 900/1000xp and will go to lvl 2 when the season starts. This also gives you about 15-20 days of training before you need to assign your SP and then you will have 20 SP to assign.
