I have a guy who is approaching retirement who has 65 career INTs (71 if you count playoffs, but I'd like to get to 70 before he retires in reg. season) and it just got me wondering who are the guys with the most career INTs in the game and what are their numbers?

Please post link if you got a player to talk about. Thanks.

Holy crap 106 tackles in one season...your dude is all over the place! Normally, some idiot would knock you for giving up too many passes but with all those PDs and INTs you are doing somethin' right!

Anyway, I'd love some help with my guy cuz he is approaching retirement and I want to get him to 80 before retirement so what do you think I should work on... (base stats in parentheses)

i would for sure work on SAs more. Your attributes look good, and since you'll be retiring soon, SAs are the going to be the fastest way to get your performance up. start working on SDC, and then fisnish getting SV to 10. those are the big 2. after that, if you have time, work on SB. also, with that much CD, you could probably get away with a bit less agility, so it wouldnt be a terrible idea to redo some EQ for more points in speed or vision. and then your VAs. not bad. you have ball hawk, and then football genius is a good one, especially when paired with ball hawk, so keep working on that one. as for red zone freak, not sure how much thats going to help you. it gives decent bonuses, but i dont think its active enough to give much an impact. usually when you give up a completion for a TD, its going to be a big one which means you wont be in the red zone for the VA to activate. second wind is another one i would kind of question. i can see slow starter working decently, but still not my personal fave. i would personally recommend clutch, jack hammer (if you had more strength), and 3DS. in fact a few people have done some research and found 3DS to be better than LR. LR gives a bonus to deflecting, while LR just gives a chance to reroll, but if youre against a good WR or you just arent in a good position to make the PD, then no matter how many times you reroll, you wont get it. but if you have a small bonus to it, then maybe you can get it. but yeah, i think that just about covers everything. if you have more questions, or want to see my build, feel free to PM me

but youre also only 30 days younger than my guy... kinda hard to get 44 INTs in one season. and yeah ive played my fair share of gutted teams, but so has everyone else. almost every league has them. not banging on your player though. he does have impressive stats. in most people's opinions, if your tackles < PD+INT ratio, then you have an elite CB, and you meet that just fine with just your PDs.

So if I'm starting out from scratch on a new player, which attributes seem to contribute the most to my INT totals? Vision is obviously huge in terms of seeing the play, and then speed and agility to get there, I would assume jumping does a lot. Does catching factor in a lot beyond that?

Speed, Agility, Vision then Jumping and Catching. Maybe grab some SAs like Super Vision and Sticky Hands

yeah, vision is the key thing. you of course will need speed and agility to keep up with the receiver, but having a little less to bait the ball your way isn't a terrible thing. its a balance you need to find. jumping also helps a lot, especially if you have a bit less speed. if you want an INT build, then you'll also need a bit more agility at the cost of speed. my lvl 54 for exmaple has 90/80 speed/agility, instead of the cookie cutter 100/70. catching... not a ton is known about it as far as CBs are concerned. Some people think it has no or little effect, some people think it increases your PD radius (x and y... jumping helps the z axis??), and then some think it just does the obvious helps to catch. i personally think it should, at least, eventually get soft capped. SAs are also big. with as much agility as my guy has, there isnt too much use for FS or CD. a little bit is useful, but you dont need much. my guy has 2 in both. i kind of wish i hadnt put it in there as those points could have been used elsewhere, but it does help. and then SDC... for sure a must. this will help you cover super speedy receivers with only mediocre speed. with this at 10, you could really probably go 85/85 speed/agility, or 90/90... ect, ect. SV is also a must. with high vision, SV will have an even greater effect, so get vis up to 68 natural, and SV will really shine. SB and SH are also good, but focus on SV and SDC first.
