Not trying to offend anyone here, but I was expecting a more active and competitive league coming out of the clouds. In Lion there are only 9 teams that are remotely competitive, and by remotely competitive I mean have enough players to have starters at every position, and out of those 9 only 4 or 5 have anywhere close to a complete roster.

I haven't even checked Elephants status yet, so they maybe a little better.

Just wondering if this is what we should expect all season, if they are going to get better and how the league is as a whole?

This forum isn't the most active I have been in, but it isn't dead either. Will probably heat up once the season starts up again.

As far as on the field competition, this league was very tough last season. I expect it to be the same this season.

The Lion Conference was very top-heavy last season with 3 awesome squads.
The Elephant conference was more balanced. Our 3rd place thru 7th place teams all finished 11-5. It was a dog-fight.

The top 4 from the Lion and the top 3 from the Elephant got promoted.

The Nile Crocodiles decided to rebuild after game 3 last season. We are almost done so don't let our record full you. We hope to be very competitive this next season. As for the slow posts, it happens, especially in the summertime. For me personally, I have been at Atlanta Falcons training camp the past 3 days.

I think part of the problem with the rosters is that Bort promoted way too many teams and many have had to readjust quickly to try to stay on top. I have had to bring in about 20 new players just to ensure a playoff spot. We got promoted for being a 6th seed in a Uncapped league that got bounced in the first round. Plus, with so many teams changing leagues EVERY season, it is hard to keep chatter going.

Not to mention the promotions from the clouds randomly. Time was you get up to AA, you know a bunch of the guys from previous seasons in A and even BBB.

drez I just realized half your GMs are with me over at Samoa Flying Foxes, including that horrible HC, Kingofgod, who is also helping me OC at RRR.

+1, but many in this league were pretty top heavy last season, those teams are gone. From the season 9 to season 10 jumble Bort did they did what many of us did...go out and find a weaker AA...then all of a sudden the league becomes competitive. We have a top heavy league again. It makes it tough for the mid-dwellers to be active when you have a bunch of diarrhea mouths on the highly competitive teams. Crap, like "I just don't see it any other way" kills input from teams like mine, then guys come in here wondering why there isn't any activity. My question is if I'm going to get shouted down...I don't need that shit. Depends on the maturity of guys on the upper teams. If you wanna talk shit...dude you're in Africa AAs, you're not even the best in Africa. So if someone is gonna 'bring it' around here, then expect a quiet forum and remember you're not even the best in Africa which is one of the worst leagues in GLB...so for me it's shut fuck up about how good your team is and we can have some friendly shoulder punching. Sock me in the mouth...fuck you, that's the way I feel.

just saying that might be a reason why this forum is quiet.

the league was active during the season... and i'm sure it will be again.

I was here last season... Thunder Bay Lycans- we were one of the 11-5 teams

but this offseason we got moved back to Canada AA1- which is where we belong... now i'm back with all my old rivalries.

good luck to everyone this season! If anyone wants to play a friendly against me... sent me a challenge.
