Players Looking for Teams - Rules, Tips, Information

First off, if you have any questions about any of the rules, feel free to PM any of the Mods. If we don't know the answer to your question, we will get it for you.

~~~~~~RULES~~~~~~
1. Do NOT post in here if you are not a FA, if you need to be traded for there is another forum for that. Repeat offenses are subject to Bans
a) EVEN if the players are FA's, if you are asking for a swap, it is still a trade. Do not advertise swaps in the thread title. Dont try to work your way around the rules. If you want to advertise a player swap w/ free agents, go to the Trading Block.
2. Do NOT post a FA thread prior to Day 20 unless you are on a CPU controlled team or a FA looking for a team for the current season. Threads searching for a future season will not be allowed till day 20*. Threads will be locked. Rule - glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=3201871
3. Do Not post for a player that must be Drafted.
4. If you post advertisements for your team in this forum it will be locked. Repeat offenses are subject to suspensions
5. ABSOLUTELY no agent bashing threads. This includes the Buyer Beware of "agentz" as they went back on their verbal commitment. Repeat offenses are subject to suspensions
6. Bumping your thread before it hits the bottom fourth of the first page or the second page will result in a warning and repeat offenses will result in a suspension
7. Agents looking to be a GM will need to be done in the subforum - glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/forum_thread_list.pl?forum_id=66, Threads will be moved.
8. If you have more than 1 player as a FA, combine, do not post separate threads for each player. (Some exceptions may apply; up to Moderators Discretion)
9. Posting publicly or via private messages any attempt to solicit (request) or offer flex points as a condition of signing a contract with a team is...
a) Against Goal Line Blitz's (GLB) policies.
b) Will warrant an immediate - 7 day - suspension of forum posting privileges. No warnings, no debates, no questions.
c) If such a contract is offered - and - accepted, both parties will be subject to suspension.
d) Owners, GMs, or players who report evidence of such activity will not be subject to suspension for the incident they are reporting and the identity of the Agent reporting the activity will be kept strictly confidential.
e) All owners and players grant GLB administrators the right to review posting and private messaging histories to confirm evidence.
f) Confirmed repeated offenses are subject to accounts being permanently banned, with out warning, without notice, without debate, and without question.
~~~~~~Tips to Make this Forum Easier/Better for All Users~~~~~~

1. Please put your Level and Position in the Thread title and in some cases your age as well (decline or not). This allows everyone to sort through the many threads.

2. Do not just make a thread and place your players link or say sign me, looking for team, etc. Those generic and vague threads clutter up the forum and are just not user friendly. Your thread at a minimum should have your players link, if you boost and/or have Custom Equipment, and what you are looking for in a team. The more specific you are in your thread looking for a team, the more interest you will receive.

3. Include how you would like to be contacted, via PM, contract offer or post in thread.

4. After you have signed with a team, and created a thread in this forum, it would help ALL of the teams recruiting to just simply edit your OP (Original Post) saying that you have been signed, at the very top of your post.

5. The MARKETPLACE is a great alternative to this forum. glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/market_free_agents.pl

~~~~~~Information~~~~~~
As an owner, it's important for me to be able to see your Attributes/Skills. This allows me, as the owner/coach, to decide if you're an ideal fit for my team. In order to change your settings to chow your attributes, do the following:
1) Click on your player's profile.
2) Scroll until you find the Attribute Sharing Option.
3) Select Everyone Can View from the drop down menu.
4) Click the Update button under the section.
You can always change this later. I think it's best, once you're signed to a team, to change it to Team members can view. That way, anyone on your team can view your attributes and offer suggestions on how to improve your player.
Contracts
Many users are demanding ridiculous contracts and a lot of owners are foolishly handing them out like they're going out of style. Right now, there's no need for large contracts that have players making in excess of $2,500 per day.
Here's my take on it:
Most Players should get 2 to 3 times the minimum daily salary. When offering a contract, the CPU will show the MDS. They also have a Maximum Daily Salary, that cannot by breached. Your daily salary will calculate correctly to show your Annual/Yearly Salary.
Signing Bonuses are where things are at, as that's pretty much guaranteed money. (As the signing bonuses are paid/deducted immediately.)
A Message from the GLBPA
New players. Please be try and learn about the economy here on GLB before asking for a contract. Go under "Leagues" pick a few teams and click on their roster. Find players your level and see what they are making. Try to find the average and look for that. Also be aware that playing for a good team should be a high priority as well. A new player should not be asking for $60k a season. This will bankrupt and hurt your team. A few days from now you will be trapped on a bad team, or the owner will lose the team and you will be stuck with a CPU owner or a bad one. Please keep this in mind when asking for a contract.
New owners. Please do not pay absurd amounts for new players. This will only drive the price up for every other player in the market. Pay fair, but not absurd. Be wise when budgeting for players. Set aside an amount to spend and don't go over it. This will help you keep your team in the black. If you spend too much then you'll have fewer players and with the new stamina changes you don't want that.
With that being said, I realize this is an open market. If owners choose to splurge a little on "that player they just have to have," that is their right. And if a player feels he can contribute more it is his right to ask for a little more. Just realize the consequences of your actions upon yourself later down the road. All in all, don't overdo it.
My name is JohnnyDollar and I approve this message.
