In Alpha, Springville has both a conference and league trophy already, while Easter Island has none! But if you take a closer look, Easter Islands' owner, Lava 124, has a slew of trophies in his very large trophy case. The only one he lacks is as an owner of a team.
Springville failed to show up in their regular season against Easter Island, losing 62-6. And Easter Island not only wants to continue an undefeated season, but they surely want a trophy.
You would think Springville is the underdog in this game, but don't count them out just yet. They have a ton of experienced GM's, not to mention the talent on their roster to win this game. Get your popcorn ready for this game!!!!!
In Zeta, things get even more interesting!!!
The Newcastle Ghosts beat their old foe the Red Elephants, in what was a very close game, 38-30, and was ultimately decided on a few key turnovers in the first quarter, just like their regular season matchup game. Bama historically has had their way with the Ghosts in seasons past, but it wasn't meant to be this season, and the Ghosts have had a great season, as well as in the playoffs! The Ghosts just will not die!!!!!
The Sydney Flames pulled off another stunning 33-6 win over the Rutgers Willies. Rutgers was the league favorite through most of the regular season, but thanks to Sydney, they flamed out in the end.
Sydney has been overlooked the last 2 seasons, missing the playoffs in season 8 and 9. But obviously, they are here to play now!!!!!!! Sydney has always been a tough team to beat, and have made the playoffs before, back in season 7 and season 6, so they are not strangers to the playoffs.
In the regular season, they lost a very close game to Bama by just 8 points, and their only other loss was to the Ghosts, by just 3 points. And with their two impressive wins over Rutgers, who beat both Bama and the Ghost's in early season games, this is anyones game!!
Congrats to both the Ghosts and The Flames for making it this far, and best of luck to both teams!!!!!
