Ok gents, week 8 is the halfway point of the season, and week 8 has some very interesting games. If your team is going to make a run for the playoffs, or try to nab a favorable seed in the playoff bracket, now is the time!!!
In Alpha, The #2 Tricity Cardinals take on #6 Darwin Hardliners. Darwin started out with a great start to the season, but they are now into the meat of their schedule, and after a couple of losses in the past two games, fans of Darwin are starting to doubt their evolution into being a favorite in Alpha.
Cook Island, sitting at #5, battles the #4 Booty Island Green Goblins, both teams coming off impressive victories against Alpha conference rivals. This should be a great game!!!
In Zeta, Sydney looks to continue their strangle hold on first place, after barely surviving a 29-26 struggle over the iue5 Sorcerers. Great game guys!!!!!
Now it's Rutgers turn to fight for second place against the iue5 Sorcerers, in what should be another great game!!!
iue5 has probably faced one of the toughest starting schedules this season, and except for their first game loss against Tricity, their other two losses have only been by a combined 4 points, losing by just 1 point against The AREC, and by a field goal to conference leaders Sydney. Other than Rutgers, and thier old foes the Newcastle Ghosts, I don't see any other games that the Sorcerers are not the clear favorites to win.
Speaking of the Ghosts, they take on the #7 Wagga Wagga's. The Ghosts have had a very impressive season so far, with their one loss being a close struggle against the Willies, who have proven to be one of the top teams in the league. The Ghosts have quietly gone about this season, dominating in every game they have won so far. Many of their most challenging opponents this season are still left on thier schedule, but I expect the Ghosts to continue their season of dominance, and should pull out a solid victory agaianst the Wagga Wagga's!
Good luck guys, and everyone have a safe and fun 4th of July weekend!!!!! Be careful with the Fireworks!!!!!!
