7 Teams voted this week. Shows me what begging for votes does for you haha. Just like PBS when they have a telethon, people turn the channel. Maybe we'll go back to 1 report every other game if people are getting burnt out.
We had a couple of interesting things happen with the poll this week. The Rhinos are still in 1st place but they are no longer unanimous, losing 1 pick to DD. Life at the top is rough
We had 4 teams all gaining or losing 1 position, nothing big and probably due to the low voter turnout.
We had our first tie of the year, and because it's for 10th place we ended up with 11 teams in the Top 10.
The biggest news of the week is the return of ABD to the Poll. They started the year in 10th and quickly fell off due to two quick losses to DD and SW. But just like Shevegas' whole career in APL, the team just never gives up. The Blood Diamonds have been in APL since the start, and to say that their stay here has been tumultuous is a gross understatement. After making the playoffs their inaugural season, they fell on some hard times and even flirted with demotion a couple of seasons. Add to that some famous heated public battles on the boards with other Owners and GMs and you have to ask... who among you would just say fuck it and start over somewhere else again? I mean how many playoff teams have we seen come and go in 7 seasons just because they couldn't win the title? This team and this owner didn't gut the team, but instead gutted it out year after year and fought their way back to the top. Love him or hate him, you have to admire Shevegas' pure tenacity. I had to take a timeout to applaud the effort. Well done bro!!
That's all I have for you guys today. I'm not sure if we'll do a poll for the next week of games, we'll see how many polls we'll get. Maybe we'll take a few games off to get interest back up again.
Congrats to everyone who made the list!!
