Looks like another great week guys, as the rankings really start to shape up, and this week should really solidify the standings even more!!!!
Over in Alpha, it's a battle for 1 and 2, with the undefeated Easter Island head hunters taking on the undefeated Springville Renegades! This game is huge guys!!!! If I had to pick an Alpha conference champion this early in the season, it would be between these two teams!!
There are some other Alpha teams, that can certainly make a run for the trophy, but it's hard to argue that Springville and Easter Island are not the early season favorites! This should be a great game, and may come down to special teams!!
a couple of other good games to watch in Alpha....The Tricity Cardinals, another Alpha team that is a favorite to win the trophy, takes on the Vanuatu Reef Raiders. The Raiders are not a team to be taken lightly, even though they have had a rough start to their season. But they are going to have to play extra special to take down the Cardinals, who have a 3-0 start this season.
Next door, over in Zeta, things don't look quite as exciting. The new #1 and only undefeated left in Zeta, the Sydney Flames, faces a tough challenge against the Melbourne Gators, but there is no reason to think that Sydney will have a problem with Melbourne, and the Flames will fire them up, and be eating grilled Gator for their post game celebration!
The Chicago six face the Newcastle Ghosts for a battle to stay ranked, and both teams are coming off disappointing losses. The Ghosts find themselves teetering on the edge of being unranked, so expect them to give Chicago everything they can, and rise from the almost dead.
And it's the #4 iue5 Sorcerers, playing against thier long time rivals, the #8 Alabama Red Elephant Club, in what has always been a hard fought, close game. Bama holds the edge in the series, winning 3 of the last 4 matchups, and an overall 6-3 record against iue5, which includes the many playoff games these two teams have played against each other. Only a couple of those 9 games played against each other, have been decided by more than just two touchdowns, so expect this one to be another close one also!!! Bama is looking to improve it's standings in the league, while iue5 is having a great season so far, and looking to protect a top 5 ranking. That's a recipe for a great game!!!!!
