i will compile a power rankings based on your votes. GM's only. pm me your vote. any gm can vote. that way we get more votes. after i see how it works i might just allow anyone to vote.

a simple top 10 will do.

however, lets vote on the format. do we want a separate conference. i am in lion. or do we want a league power rankings. post your preference.

Conference, only teams from the same conference can vote for teams in their conference, and only 1 vote per team IMO.

dont care about multiple votes, but we should put a limit, cuz some teams have the entire roster as GMs

We are #1. All others are #2 or lower.

I think multiple votes per team is good as it allows for more votes to be casted, especially if a team doesn't vote. But allowing it to be unlimited isn't good for the reasons stated above. 2 or 3 votes per team would generate enough different opinions.

i will do conference power rankings.

i would like to have one GM per team for a main vote. i will accept all votes and add to a separate column for total votes received.

immediately after tomorrows game the polls will open, so to speak, and they will close at 7 AM PST the day of the next game. that gives everyone plenty of time, almost 40 hours, to get to get votes in and me time to add them up and post something.

honestly, i think we will get a much better taste of each conference after the next couple games. lion just isn't the same as last year. there were so many tough teams that any given week you could lose. this year the top teams have a bunch of gimme's.

Not disagreeing, but don't you think that's related to perception though? As one's team gets better the opposition seems less imposing. To the newer teams in the league their eyes might be bulging at some of the rosters but, eventually, they'll have their turn too.

Just sayin' cause I'm never big on that "good old days" sentiment with anything...

i totally understand what you are saying. the lion conference here has been much different from any other GLB experience i or a lot of other GM's here have had. people who had been here during the run like ericmn, smallbugger and mango fandango all could attest to it.

in the last few seasons, there weren't any teams with incomplete rosters or CPU teams like other leagues i have been in have had. no one went undefeated and there was always a shocking loss.

most of the teams were psycho game planners. a lot of the teams here would have made AAA a few seasons ago if they had been in different conferences but here only two teams made it. so great teams were stuck here for multiple seasons and
we have had some great rivalries here as a result.

the crazy thing would a team that would make the playoffs one year, sometimes even host a playoff game and miss the next season. it happened to us, the ratels, the serpent eagles and durban, who eventually re-shuffled their whole roster after 6 seasons here.

the last three seasons, any team that was promoted from Lion went into the AAA playoffs the first season fighting for home field playoff game. the last couple AA Lion champs went to Afrtica Pro their first season of AAA.

i am not a good ole days guy either. i just want to make AAA to get with those old rivals again. in fact, i wish they promote the top 6 or 7 teams here to get my dream conference and dream season.

I concur, the past two seasons were very entertaining. You often didn't know the outcome until the final drive. While I expect to have 4 or 5 regular season games that way, 4 or 5 close contests doesn't compare to 12-13 the past two years. It's easier now, just not as much fun. Though I still enjoy the scrimmages with the level 63 teams.

Fair enough. And really, I sorta disprove my own theory with how well our team held its own last season, in its first season here. I guess I'm just late to the party and don't want it to end!
