For those of you that have been with me in OAA2 or OAAA1, you know the drill. I do weekly write ups. 4 regular games and 2 Games of the week one for each conference, however, in week 1, because its Alpha vs. Zeta, not Alpha vs. Alpha/Zeta vs. Zeta, I'm only doing 1 Game of the week game. Enjoy! Here's week 1's installment. (also please keep in mind, i'm not familiar with many of the teams here yet. So the early weeks will be sketchy, until i have things to base my write ups on from season 10) Also, I try to get every single team (other than CPU or gutted teams) involved in write-ups I can’t do everyone in a single week, (that’s a ton of writing), so I apologize but EVERYONE will get an opportunity to be involved with them.
Games to Watch
Balanced Game of the Week
GERMAN WILDDOGS @ Rip City Reign
Being unfamiliar with both teams, I can only give you a ‘face-value’ outlook on this game. What I can see, from looking at these teams is World War 3 waiting to happen. Rip City is rated a bit better in a couple areas than the Wilddogs but hey, when has that ever stopped someone from winning a game? Rip City has been very active in Free Agency and have immensely improved themselves as I’m sure that GW has as well, and this game, is their opportunity to make a statement about JUST HOW MUCH they’ve improved their ability to make it to the championship and punish people every single week. I wouldn’t expect anything less than a blood bath at the end of this one.

Underrated Underdog Game of the Week
Cascade Cajun Crushers @ Tasmania Tigers
The more I look at the ‘faceplate’ of this game, the harder it is to resist labeling CCC as the underdogs here. Tasmania just looks that damn good. Now don’t get me wrong, CCC is going to show up to win, of that, I have no doubt, and upsets happen all the time, but Tasmania’s efforts and hardwork have paid off for them just a bit more. Their team is raring and ready to go, hopefully about to make some noise. If CCC wants to pull the upset, they have got to do their homework and find a weakness, if one exists, and take it to the Tigers. No Regrets, No holding back, that’s exactly what a win here is going to require for either team! Let the Battle Begin!

Powerhouse Game of the of the Week
N.M.I Pagan Fire Eaters @ Florida Frenzy
Florida this season has improved IMMENSELY, as though they weren’t hard enough to beat last season, their two wins in championships over WSR has absolutely ignited their ability to recruit big talent and improve beyond anyone they might face in the near future. NMI is not going anywhere though, we’ve seen in the past the devastation this team can cause. This game is really about whether or not PFE can stop FF’s Offense and make some plays offensively, the powerhouse team in this game, is definitely Florida, but can PFE slay the beast?

Middle of the Road Game of the Week
Sydney Pelicans @ Berlin Devine Right
Another two solid teams with tons and tons of potential this season! Both teams seem solid from top to bottom and until we see them on the field in season 10, it may be impossible to find a weak spot. They get the ‘middle of the road’ label solely based upon their pre-season rankings. But this week we’re going to find out what these two teams are really made of and ladies and gentlemen, buckle up because I have a feeling it’s going to be one hell of a ride.

Oceania Pro 'Alpeta' Game of the Week
Brantford Mustangs @ Port Moresby Demons
Obviously being the first game of the season, we don't have stats, ranks, or production to base their season 10 capabilities on, but what I do know is PMD. PMD is the team that put an end to Florida Frenzy’s 3 ½ season (or more) win streak, they fell short in the playoffs, but they are the team that can say THEY BEAT THE BEAST! So teams like Brantford, are of nothing new to PMD. That isn’t to suggest Port Moresby is taking them lightly. This game is going to be like two Bulls butting heads, eventually one of them is going to stick the other with their horns, and when that happens, it’s all but over. The question we’re left to wonder, is which team will strike first blood, and which team will strike last? This game should be expected to be lights out, non-stop action from start to finish, one hell of a way for Alpha and Zeta to start off the season! If you miss it, you just suck!
