Wow, the really sad thing is, that when he sent me a PM with this thread saying "release me and I will undo this thread" he actually, in his heart, thought that would wrok...

The real story is, he demanded to be released. We gave him the option of getting playing time as the PR and 3rd HB (hell, we are low level so what does it matter) or finding a trade partner that would pay us the signing bonus we gave him and maybe a little more.

Instead he kept up with the threats, and based on this thread you can see what kind of character he has (none).

So, he is benched till his contract expires.

Have fun Garf. You just made yourself look bad to more people than just our team.

It's a shame that it came to this but it is a prime example of what not getting to know the agent or owner before signing can do. Good luck to both...hopefully nobody takes advantage of this link and just tries to play straight up and honest...shrug.

Ed Reed always has issues with owners/gm's. A+ thread.

This is kind of pathetic.

Again, I gave him 3 options. Play PR as well as 3rd string HB, to make sure getting max plays as well as still getting to be a big part of the team.

Find a trade partner that would give what we signed him for or a little more.

Or when he kept saying that he would retire him I said that he could be benched and retire after the season.

He was talking to me about finding a trade partner, then came back with his "Forget that, just release me". I was clear with him from the beginning that because of a past GM that screwed over the team and that we are rebuilding, that I would not release anyone as if I let one go more might ask.

I was open and honest and upfront with him. I gave him fair choices.

And he reacted like an idiot. This thread and the threatening emails is proof enough. I will not release him, and my whole team is on board with benching him till the contract expires due to his threats and this thread.

If he would have remained intelligent instead of resorting to threats, he could be playing on a team of his choice already.

Given that we beat Dakar by 115 points with a brand new OC. I doubt anyone actually needed this thread.

Good agents don't release other player's builds.
