With the revelation that us "Little Guys" will be practically guaranteed no sell outs if we have full sized stadiums, I am wondering how I should approach the ticket pricing issue. In the past, we could set the price, see how tickets sold, then adjust accordingly to ensure sell outs for every game. NOW, we have no idea how many tickets will sell, only that NO SELL OUT will be possible.

So, how do I know if I should drop prices more, or if the cut off is 40,000 seats per game?

How are you other "Large Stadium" owners going about this?

I am not complaining, my team has plenty of cash on hand for our level, just looking for advice.

My team has gone 0-16 for the past two seasons and we've sold out every game with a full stadium. This season will be no different.

Wow... That dude is an ass. Tom good question... Right now I have my tickets set at 2x and our fan support is 100/99/98. I dropped it down to 2x because of the message Bort released how it will be very difficult / rare to sell out now. Which sucks.

Dunno... Will have to keep dropping it if they don't sell I guess?

Just don't know how we are supposed to know what the cuttoff is for the number of tickets that are going to sell. May end up taking a loss this season just to find out. Run low prices to sell all of them early to find the number.

Yeah I am going to drop it down .25 every night until they start selling. So they are at 2x... then will go 1.75, 1.5, 1.25, etc...
If it gets down to the last night, I will just go down to something much lower just to get some sales.

I really think this is gay how he jacks around with the prices like this. We paid for these teams (since season 4), why not let us do our thing?

it suxs..i have everything set at about 10$ more then expected price...all i want to do is sell out! not even close yet...im having problems with 2nd bowl seats mainly!

I am selling mine at expected and having decent ticket sales, my 1st game is almost sold out.

We're at 1.8 TBH, and selling pretty well for our fan base, but my plan was to see what happens in the pre-season with 1.8 for at least the first two, and then start dropping from there for the last pre-season & 1st reg season. I don't care if the first game sells out TBH...... would almost rather see what keeping it at 1.8 through the first game does & then tweak it. We're still kicking it around with GMs though.

The 'sweet spot' for me in terms of price tends to vary depending on the section, is this not the same with everyone else?

Mine vary between 1.7 and 2.4. Most are around 1.8>1.85. I'm close, but I still don't have it quite right for some sections yet

I'm not selling any corner or end zones yet. Dropping those sections down to 1.3x tonight to see how that works. Other sections have sold out at 1.5 x- 1.85x
