After 11-5 season we would like to recognize a few players who helped us make it to the playoffs and show our appreciation.

Compton Cougars Season 2 Awards


Offensive Players

RB-Johnny "JT" Tomlinson-Recorded 11 tds, 82 first downs and over 1200 total yards

QB-Christian Soldier-Threw for 13 tds, 181 first downs and 2755 yards

WR-Rob Eversleigh- Recorded 88 catches for 846 yards, 44 first downs(very high for his position) and 4 tds.
League Rankings, 8th in receptions, 11th in rec yards


Defensive Players

CB-Chris Grim- he had 83 tackles, 38 pass deflections, 4 ints and 1forced fumble

LB-Dj Jackson- 85 Tackles, 1 sack, 7 hurries, 8 pass deflections, 1 int and 4 forced fumbles


DE-Andrew Fiorentino- had 72 tackles, 2 missed tackles, 5 hurries, 6 sacks, 13 Tackles for losses,3 Pass Deflections and 4 forced Fumbles

Offensive Lineman

C-Timothy Vierd accumalated 138 pancakes in 11 games for us. Almost impossible to get around him. He is a very important part to our success

Defensive Lineman

DE-Andrew Fiorentino had 72 tackles, 2 missed tackles, 5 hurries, 6 sacks, 13 Tackles for losses,3 Pass Deflections and 4 forced Fumbles

Defensive Back

CB- Dick(Night Train) Lane- had 63 tackles, 28 pass deflections, 7 ints one for a td, and 1 forced fumble

WorkHorse

OG-Roger Ramjet ran a total of 1146 plays

Single Game Performance

WR-Toronto Hitman3- 13 Catches 231 yards and 2 tds in a 44-3 win

MVP

C-Timothy Vierd- He was an instant impact as soon as he joined us. Championship teams are built around franchise Lineman. He opened up running lanes, protected the Qb, and will be the centerpiece of the is offense for seasons to come.

I would wish you GL in the playoffs vs. us.... but since it would not be sincere, why bother?

If 44 First downs by a WR are high for that position then I guess Colstons 69 are astronomical.

i guess so, meant to say highest on the team

but then again colston has alot more catches

25 is a lot, and having that many catches is even better.

I wasnt trying to make him look bad. I said he gets more catches. The point i was trying to make was half of my catches are for first downs, less than half of his catches are for first downs
