I'm looking for an owner who would like to own a team in 4 seasons, and get a capped 13 team for season 15. I would DC, and this is my strategy:
Run a 4-2-5, and use DPC plays to create an stout D. We will focus on having superb builds, tailored to fit perfectly in our scheme. First off, we will have a front 4, focused all on super-high strength, so they can stop the run well without help from our LBs. Then, our LBs will have super-high speed and agility, and good enough tackling to be a sure tackler. Then, our SS will be built like a coverage FS, with very high speed/agility/vision. We will be playing a ton of C1 or C0, with the SS acting as an FS when we play C1. The FS, therefore, will be built exactly like a shutdown CB, because he will effectively be playing CB almost always. He will have equal speed/agility and also high vision/jumping. Then, the first 3 CBs will all have pretty standard builds, with Speed/Agility to 68 or 73, and Vision/Jumping to 61, with softcapped tackling, like everyone on the defense. Then, our last CBs, 4+5 will be super high speed(78), good agility(68) and ok vision(61). One of them will be the returner, and they will help get a ton of sacks blitzing, because we will have our front four beasts drawing the attention of the O-Line with their superb strength, so the CBs should, in effect, be able to quickly get to the QB, because our high agility CBs will hold the WRs from getting open, and they should have a pretty clear path to the QB. Even if they don't, they're exceptional speed should be enough to get them around the blocker for a sack or hurry. This defense will, in a word, be awesome.
