I have bought 2 sets of visors and not sure which to boost and use. the first adds +1 Get Low SA and the second +1 Foundation SA. i will be adding strength when i boost but not sure which SA would be better for my OT.

Neither. If you run the math, unless the SA is the last in the tree, the value you get out of advanced equipment that is +1SA is not worth the bonus token opportunity cost. You need something with +1str/blk, or +2agi/spd/vis at OT unless the piece in question is pancake/protect to get your bonus token value back in the piece.

Octowned, which math is this? I remember we were debating this because the third and fourth blocks have value since you don't have to build up with the other blocks to get them.

That's not the question Octowned is talking about. Here's what he's saying:

You boost 2x for 16BT and get +2/+2SA. On the other hand, you can trade 16BT in for 4SP, right? Well, suppose your Foundation is at 0. Now +4SP gets you +3 Foundation AND you have boosted for the next game. In the visor spot you can put a regular +2str in and now you have 3 Foundation AND +2str, whereas you would have +2str/+2Foundation using AEQ.

Now that doesn't account for the fact that you also have to get Pass Block and Shock Block up, so it's a tradeoff. I think Foundation is the bee's knees, so I would go look for a +1attribute/+1Foundation and be done with it. I don't have an example of one (Brooklyn has Cut Block to account for low str against guys with 10 levels on her) but I like the way it's worked on other builds.

I dunno I consider a piece at level 40 to be done. +4 takes you at best from 7,8,9,T, cost 4,4,5,5=18 SP. But those 8 upgrades you could have just gotten 16 SP... Or if you do custom, now that +4 is only worth 6,7,8,9, which drops the value from 18 to 16 SP. Or if you count level 56 equip, now it gets you +5, so 5,6,7,8,9, which is up to 19SP but you could have just gotten 20SP...

So the value is simply not there with a regular piece to me.

Of course, you can consider the saved value of previous SAs if you really think those SAs are useless (this can be a pretty big savings!), so it does depend on that stuff too.

I just like to figure if I took the time to shop, I want more value than nominal value or even a small loss of value. I only take a basic SA with +1 major or +2 minor.

I use the paired-AEQ strategy: I get 2 pieces in the same SA and pump both, which means I never touch the SA from an SP standpoint. I do still believe that you should get a later SA (at least 3rd block) and I'm thinking of wasting time on Whitney this offseason to do that.
