I just don't seem to come up with big plays a lot.

Where is your EQ upgrades currently placed? You should have at least 20 more speed at your level. Quit putting any SPs into special abilities, and start pumping them into speed/agility ASAP.

If you have EQ in anything other than speed, re-do your equipment and put them all into speed.
