Last post title was hook thread mod said. So repost.

I know this isn't madden or ncaa, but if you get a safety in a game you should get the ball back, such as the other team punts us the ball. But instead GLB has us kick the ball to the other team, so we don't even get the ball back. Just because if it is a punt then the team who would cause the safety would get the ball back, and get better field position.

Some games will be decided by a simple things like. It will make the game more fun, and make it more like a football game. Its like having a touchdown but not being able to kick a extra point. Please people its a good suggestion and we can get this to be fixed.

Also if you did not know when you get a safety you get the choice of a punt or kick to get the ball back.

There was a suggestion the forum which would resolve this issue which u could put in the AI.

Just click tactics and have in case of safety punt or kick, and you check the box which you prefer.

It would make it more fair, since when you get a safety you don't get the ball back.

Bort this is a must fix.I have caused a few safety's and our team didn't even get the ball back.

I agree that this is a very good suggestion. The closer that this game can get to actual football the more everyone will enjoy it. That's why I agree with you Talmon.

sounds ight to me.

yeah lets do it, it will make it more like a real football game. + Punters will get more punts if they are on crappy teams. This will lead to more PT for them and better Punting average maybe. +1111111111

I'm pretty sure in "real" football the team has the option to punt or kick. From NFL Rulebook:


1. In addition to a kickoff, the other free kick is a kick after a safety (safety kick). A punt may be used (a punt may not be used on a kickoff).
2. On a safety kick, the team scored upon puts ball in play by a punt, dropkick, or placekick without tee. No score can be made on a free kick following a safety, even if a series of penalties places team in position. (A field goal can be scored only on a play from scrimmage or a free kick after a fair catch.)

Yes but how can you choose when its a sim game, not only that 90% of teams always punt its a very high chance that any team if they get a safety on, they will punt. If you don't believe me go check it out for yourself.

i posted this but again what the guy said its a sim, you don't have the option to go into all of these details...
