Welcome to the big leagues in Oceania. I don't know the Alpha side nearly as well as the Zeta side, but they're pretty tough, I know that. As for Zeta, let's just say the nickname of Meatgrinder is well earned. That isn't a knock on Alpha, since the teams over there are top notch too -- just that WSI and CCC are a clear cut above the others, at this point. Zeta, though, had no real clear cut dominant team in the regular season. The #1 seed was 14-2, while the #7 was 12-4. Both leagues are tough, so be prepared for a fight, new guys. Anyways, without further ado, the new teams!
From O-AAA #1:
Alpha: Williamsport Soul Reavers -- http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2879 -- They've played Florida for the gold twice now, and are a solid team all around. They're going to be a good addition to Alpha, but it will still be seen if they can unseat the WSI/CCC #1/#2 on that side.
Zeta: Florida Frenzy -- http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=49 -- This will be a fun one, since I've had an HB on this team for a few seasons and the owner had a player on the Gangsters for awhile. Other players on the team have been part of Oceania at various points too. Not to mention, they're a former AA-AAA championship tournament trophy holder, and are an all around good team, winning three golds in a row with a 59-1 regular season record. They could well be the next Osaka.
From O-AAA #2:
Alpha: Berlin Devine Right -- http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2953 -- I think they got lost, since Berlin is in Germany. Maybe there is one in Oceania, but I'm too lazy to look it up.
Zeta: Knox Nightmares -- http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=4781 -- Don't know anything about them, but look forward to playing them in S10.
There will be more added to this list as the non league winners promote up. Right now, it looks like Port Moresby from AAA #1 Zeta could be back in the Pros for a second run.
