So i'm considering making a pure special teams player.

What's the ideal position for this? And what skills are most important and should be softcapped first and etc etc...

Thanks for any help with this.

Special teams tackler:

68 speed + all equip

60 tackling <- these two to force the fumbles
60 agility <- to not incur the 2/3 rule and miss out on all that speed

Making the best position DE, as they get 0.5 in all of those.

Scratch jumping, vision, confidence, stamina, you name it. Get down field fast, and whallop the guy, that is all that matters. Focus on force fumble or special teamer VAs/SAs.

Another viable option would be to use a DT, and get big hit up.

Special teams blocker:

Strength 68 + all equip
Blocking 60
Agility 60
Speed 60
Vision 48

go nuts on pancakes. the agility/speed/vision are just to get to your next pancake. Best position is C if you want nuts strength, or OT if you want the agility and vision gains as well I dunno.

---

Special teams returner:

73 speed + equip
68 agility
48 vision
48 carrying

go nuts on the quick cut SA, anything to weave through the pack, hit the holes and take off running

skip confidence, stamina, strength, jumping, all that jazz.

------------------

All of these builds will be successful FAR earlier than using a position player would.

Personally, I always thought it would be DE who could go both ways best.

Spd to 2nd Cap
Str to 1st Cap
Agi to 1st Cap
Tkl to 1st Cap
Str to 2nd Cap
Blk to 1st Cap
Agi to 2nd Cap

Train Vis/Conf only.

And mandy thanks for the guide, i just got to work on making my ST Ace.

Arent DE and DT bigger guys and therefore slower, might not be the optimal special teams player. I think a good TE or FB would be the optimal special teams blocker and a linebacker or SS the optimal tackler. Just makes sense to me in a real football sense.

Roll a light DE. The natural level gains on the 4 main stats for a DE are way better than being 25 pounds lighter...

These are the right positions to use, but not the right build advice.

But this guy gets it done too:

Ideally you'd probably have one of each, a DT/DE type down the middle of the field and a pure ST safety gunner.
