MJMA v. CC

Starting off, we will look at the prime weapons for both teams.

On the ground
Both teams have feature backs, any of them a legit threat to break one at anytime. CC has El Flasho and Mark "Oilfield Trash" Leonard. They are ranked #3 and #4 respectively and are the best rushing combo in the league. The Rowdy duo recently ran wild on the very good defense of KK. MJMA has Sterling Farnsworth and Ferdinand Jackson. Ranked #26 and #12, the quiet thunder and lightning combo has also been taking care of business. Comparing the two combo's is difficult other than using pure stats. From a pure running aspect, the edge goes to CC RB's, but the dual threat ability of MJMA's Jackson evens it up.

In the Air
MJMA holds a clear advantage here with the second ranked air attack in the league with CC passing enough to keep opponents honest. CC, only throwing an average of 10 times per game, which, has been all they have needed with them being more run based. MJMA with its dual threat RB and multiple WR's throws over 30 times per game maintaining its balanced attack. The number one receiving option for CC barely has more yards than the number eight receiving option for MJMA. Between the teams QB's there is not really a comparison, with both of MJMA's at over 70% completion rates, vs the 50% completion rates of CC's.

The Oline
MJMA is among the league leaders in pancakes, CC is not to be underestimated. They can block, otherwise the rushing game would not be where it is. It may not be pretty, but they get the job done. However, MJMA's line is just more powerful.

Defense
Right off the bat its going to come down to how well MJMA's #1 defense can control the running attack of CC. They ran all over KK, who only allowed 68 ypg, and 1080 all season, and CC almost matched that total in the recent playoff game. MJMA however is a different story, only having allowed 12 ypg and 187 yards total all season vs the rushing attack. The CC defense is also dead serious and looking to show MJMA that they are for real.

Overall
CC is a good team and its going to come down to can they force their will on the best run defense in the league. I do not think that MJMA will abuse them like they have the rest of the league, as the two RB's are just that good. However, MJMA is likely just to powerful after you look at the other stats like FF's which are a real danger for the RB's of CC as they get more tired towards the games end. MJMA's offense is also likely too powerful for CC, and will wear them down with both the ground and air attacks as the game rolls on.

MJMA 54
CC 35

I'll make a prediction. Moose 123 Chiefs 17. It will be a blow out. Guaranteed. Another case of western conference destruction.

Great write up, honest opinoins, but seems like your holding back a little Love the props and we'll do our best to give a nice tight contest to end the season.

not putting you down. Moose are far and away a better team. They really shouldn't even be in this league, they are that powerful.

Its much harder to compare teams from different conference's as they have faced different opponents with different tactics. So I would be hesitant to say to much in favor of anything when it comes to the playoffs. Esp considering how far I was off on the KK/CC score. One could take something from the beginning of the season, but I seriously doubt any team is using the same tactics now that they did then. And the different styles make it even harder to compare, as CC is generally a run first, run again, and when in doubt, run some more team. While MJ has an almost dead even balance. So how good CC's passing game really is, and how good a pure attack one way or the other from MJ is something we will likely never know. As both teams made it this far, the axiom if it ain't broke, don't fix it applies. I do think CC is the underdog, so they have little to lose. MJ on the other hand after last season is on a mission.

honestly i would think the same too about them being that good, WELL because they are. But don't forget that we are also that good, proved by the win over an Extremely strong KK club. Don't get me wrong the WEST was really strong this year, while the East only had 3 real top tier teams. All I am hoping for is a good D AI and hope for the best. Thats all one can do, even against a solid ball club.

it is tough getting game plans for opposing conferences just from the mere fact that you don't pay much attention to the other conference because your more worried about whats going on with your own conference. So making game plans for the super bowl is just plain a bitch because of all the back tracking of game film you have to catch up on.

We have placed offerings of KFC, Beer and Fried Twinkies upon the alter of the sim gods for this season as our offering. Our prayers were for the cholesterol count not to kill them so they could follow through with their miracles.
