In Zeta the only upset I expect to see is in the Moscow Balalaikas vs Mapua Cardinals game. And its only an upset as far as the season rankings go since Moscow is becoming a team made up of about half CPU players now.

From the Preseason rankings, I did.

Im not impressed with the teams that didnt get promoted, I think you will see at least 1 of the BBB 15 teams with home field.

With the way some of these teams coming up slow built levels are not really going to mean a whole lot and by the end of the season the gap will be smaller. I am just not ready to hand the league over to a few teams that werent good enough to promote last season.

Should be fun but I say watch out for the boys from Cybertron.

Chubby had 8-10 guys with day 32 contracts,,,and they were inactive

so they lost a bunch of guys last night on rollover
that s a big reason for the loss (not to take away from the Transformers)

also, Michigan took out the Knights
wow, pretty big win

I expected this one.
Moscow Balalaikas vs. Mapua Cardinals 10-37

Surprised here.
Berlin Destruction vs. Black Sea Raiders 12-33

This went the way I hoped it would.
Elancourt Templiers vs. San Diego Supa Chargers 38-3

Shocked here! Not to disparage the Wolverines but wow. The scrambling QB for Michigan musta been on something.
Hartford Knights vs. Michigan Wolverines 59-63

I think I may have overestimated the teams I expected to win more than underestimated the ones I expected to lose.

The fact remains that most of these very understrength teams were expansion teams last year. The very fact that they can compete at all speaks volumes about how clever they are and how well they play.

While I suppose that Black Seas and Michigan would prefer that I let you maintain your illusions of invincibility while they sneak up on you, the condescension does become irritating. Keep thinking of these teams as "little brothers" and more than a few of you are gonna wake up asking, "How'd they win the league?" or at least, "How'd they beat us?"

Not saying anything about the beaten teams...just reflecting upon old remarks and saying that I am not as suprised as some at the playoff upsets.

You really nailed those two teams. Looking for a job as a scout? Perhaps their opponents didnt take their rushing QB's into account.

Not much to it really...I just got to see them the season prior to this one also. Black Seas is a strong team that will also outwork you on planning and preparation. They are nothing if not efficient and thorough. Michigan is a team of sneaky bastards(I mean that respectfully) that can generally come up with something to keep you off guard and can usually beat you with it. They limped into the playoffs last year and then came within a hair of making it to the Championship Game...sound familiar?

Elancourt, are you the only non-promoted team left?

i believed that they were going to surprise the beasts with him,,,,,guess not
