As the playoffs loom in a couple of days, the matchups are set and consist of both perennial blowouts and slobberknockers. Here are some relevant questions that will be answered over the course of the tournament.

1) Will Gunston play up to their level and prove that loss to the Rollers was a mirage or are they ripe for an upset?

2) Will Tusken live up to their hype and win the Elephant Conference or will they get tripped up while practiving their victory dance?

3) Can the Headhunters get over the hump, finally advancing beyond the 2nd round and win their 1st ever Conference championship? If so, can they become the only undefeated African AAA Season 9 team to go undefeated?

4) Can Pretoria bounce back from a couple of disappointing losses and compete for a conference championship?

5) Can the African Predators ride their momentum, beat the Pigs and push their way towards a conference title?

6) Can the Lumberjacks live up to their lofty playoff position and win multiple playoff games?

7) Can E-C-I go out in a blaze of glory and shock the world, preventing the favorites from winning a championship and advancing to Pro?

8) Which high rated seed will be the 1st to be upset?

9) Can Niger re-discover their playoff magic and return to APL after being relegated in Season 9?

10) Which Conference will boast the AAA2 Championship Trophy?

Answers, imo:

1. Gunston experiences some bad deja vu...

2. Tusken makes a deep run...takes EC...

3. Yes, UH are the favorites to win LC. I think they take come out on top of AAA#2.

4. Yes...look out for the Pigs...

5. Nope...see #4...

6. Yes, after 2 blow out losses against the top 2 teams in LC imo, the Jacks bounced back and won 9 straight. Jacks are hot right now.

7. No

8. Gunston

9. Unfortunately for a tough Niger squad no. Jacks are hot, see #6 for details....

10. LC - Headhunters hoist hardware....

9. is going to be a good game

I felt like minus a couple of bad AI gambles, we should have won that game

i'm really looking forward to the rematch, it'll be a good game either way

It's all in good fun and I actually agree that this will be a very close game.....There is also a GLB trend that the regular season winner losses in the playoffs...at least there used to be a trend...

After Game 1, lets see where we stand..

1) Wait and see.

2) Almost tripped up, but wait and see.

3) Next game tells the tale, at least the 1st part.

4) Nope. Got caught with their hands in the kaboom box.

5) Wait and see, but jumped the 1st hurdle.

6) Nope. Damn those snakes.

7) Nope. Best wishes to E-C-I and their players.

8) Tanzania's Jacks win this dubious honor, although the Pigs' loss is the bigger upset due to their tenure.

9) Wait and see, but they did find their way into the 2nd round.

10) Waaaaaay too early, although a couple of the Lion favorites bought the dust early.

If the 85s get a win against Tusken, I'll more than show them some love on this thread.
