Strength: 81 (63 w/o EQ)
Blocking: 65
Speed: 20
Agility: 35
Carrying: 29 (28 w/o EQ from an AEQ piece)

Tackling: 14
Catching: 14
Stamina: 14
Vision: 14
Confidence: 14

Throwing: 8
Jumping: 8
Kicking: 8
Punting: 8

After boosting and leveling i have 25 SP to play with.. and i'm not totally sure what to do with.. the owner of the team is pushing me to hit the 48 cap in speed.. but everything i've read and with the lack of any leveling up bonus.. seems like a waste to me.. is it? Obviously it's not something to ignore forever..

My 2 thoughts at this point:

Hit the 68 cap in both Block and Strength or Start dumping them into Agility

Any ideas? help?

------------------[updated: 8/24/09]--------------------------

Strength: 90.72 (72.72 w/o EQ)
Blocking: 69.72
Speed: 33
Agility: 74.72 (68.72 w/o EQ)
Carrying: 31.72

Stamina: 26.47

Tackling: 15.47
Catching: 15.47
Vision: 15.47
Confidence: 15.47

Throwing: 8
Jumping: 8
Kicking: 8
Punting: 8

AEQ: +2 Agility / +1 Pancake + 32 Bonus Tokens = +6 Agility / +3 Pancake

What Next?

i think its obvious i need more Vision.. bad.. so i am going to start alternating Speed/Stamina and Vision/Confidence? That sound right?

Then hopefully find a Strength/Lead Block piece to compliment my Agility/Pancake piece..

Also could use some VA ideas as well.. Outside Blocker? Downfield Blocker?

Look good? Any help or advice is greatly greatly appreciated

If I could do it all over again I would take strength, agility, blocking all to 68 before working on speed and vision in that order.

Ugh... not a fan of how you did it but if I were you I'd just finish off the strength cap to 68. Leave block alone and work on getting agility to the 1 cap and beyond. Not that I'm an expert on high level FB's... but here is what I have so far for my lvl 20 (for comparison sake) these are natural stats btw:

After School Special (Lv. 20 FB)
Ht/Wt: 6'0", 222lbs

Experience, Skill Points, and Cash
Money: $8960
Daily Salary: $1100
Skill Points: 0
Training Points: 1
Bonus Tokens: 0
Veteran Points: 0
Next Level: 332/1000

Attributes
Physical Attributes
Strength: 72.5
Speed: 13
Agility: 49.5
Jumping: 8
Stamina: 13.8
Vision: 13.8
Confidence: 13.8

Football Skills
Blocking: 63.5
Catching: 13.8
Tackling: 13.8
Throwing: 8
Carrying: 23.5
Kicking: 8
Punting: 8

And don't listen to that owner of yours. He's an idiot. Keep building the mains up and train spd/agi until you can cap agility after finishing off strength. Then train spd/sta. You're definitely on the right track.

If your owner thinks you need more speed, move some eq from strength. Then when you've gotten the other attributes (str & agi) up to 68 and started raising speed, move eq back to strength.

no one is discounting the need for speed but at the cost of screwing up your build completely.. I think the owner is a complete moron for his suggestion.

What should his speed be for a lvl 21 blocking back then?

minimal. If you want your guy to be good later on... you should ignore speed until you've rounded out the rest of your build. This is because you don't get any level bonuses for speed as a FB. You do in other key areas that are used for blocking, ie strength, agility, blocking, etc

I agree with you misled, but "Moron" is a little harsh. The owner wants to win now, not two seasons hence. Honestly, I'd find a new team if my owner tried to pull that on me, but I can see his point.

Hey dprocko!

Agility to at least 60. Ignore the owner and build for levels 30+. You'll enjoy watching your fullback much more later on than dumping points into the build right now.

A compromise I do in those situations is to offset the speed being low with equipment in speed early on. By level 24 you should be able to put +16 into speed. That should get you to a serviceable 35-40 range. But get agility up to at least 60, if not 68. I wouldn't touch anything else until strength and agility are both 68.

well thats the problem.. we started off as slow build before all the league shuffling.. then all of the sudden we went from getting beat up.. to being competitive.. so that's where the balance between slow build and winning came into play.. so i think it was more of a knee jerk reaction to win now.. but im not sure i want to sacrifice my build just yet..

and i also don't think is a moron.. in the least

and Shull.. i was going to just PM you about this. but i figure you have enough on your plate trying to get Gunner the ball

Here's what my level 17 fullback will look like after boosting to level 20 in the next few days (natural stats, and not including the bonuses to the major attributes from the 3 upcoming level-ups)-

Have been training stamina/vision/confidence up enough to be playable, will be switching to hard training speed as soon as they reach around 23.

That look pretty good for my first blocking FB build?

Looks nice--I would actually start training speed/stamina, although some would say vision/confidence. Very good slowbuild--you did it right. What are you thinking of doing with your EQ?

I'll probably alternate between speed/stamina and vision/confidence, as I continue to pump up the big 3 attributes with skill points.

Thanks for the feedback I have a set of about 12 slow-build players that I tried a very strict method with, keeping track of every little thing and trying to use EVERY skill point the best way. And that's the first really good feedback I've gotten on any of my players haha.

As far as equipment... I haven't really decided yet. Either strength or agility, or a combination of both. Any suggestions? I'm looking to create a pancake machine at FB, so I would guess strength, but I've heard too that FB's need very very high blocking so that they hold blocks better.
