Warrior General Games

As the final game of the season is eminent, this edition is to prep folks on what to expect as far as who should be in, what they will do when they get there, conference MVP and the likes.



1 Algarve Sharks 15-0-0 W18
Incredible team has taken all comers and done so with a physical attacking defense. Algarve is far and away the best Defensive unit in the conference. 1st overall, 1st against the rush, and 1st vs the pass. Combine that with their 1st ranked punt return team, and you have to really be on the ball to have any hope against them.

2 Normandy Invasion 15-0-0 W15
The invasion has statistically a run of the mill team. I think this is due to the large amount of rushing and good filed position they generate. While statistically they dont stand out in one area, they are loaded with talent. They game plan well and are still undefeated. Definitely deserve their high perch.


3 Salt Lake City Utah 13-2-0 W8
SLC is not as well rounded as the top two, but who is.? They hang their hat on an incredibly productive passing game currently ranked second in the league. .It is a little one sided in my view, but it gets the job done for the most part. Top 6 ranking defensively and superb special teams play are a pretty good compliment to the air attack.

4 Antelope Valley Isotopes 11-4-0 W6
Very solid oveall team. That passing game and passing defense are very respectable combo. Does tailer their game plan to negate the other teams strength and capitalize on weaknesses. Reason for not being dominant in any statistical category. Well rounded team has 4th seed locked up can make a splash in the playoffs.

5 Cybertron War Machine 10-5-0 W9
Jeckle and Hyde team. Middle of the road in all categories. does have a nice win streak gong after incredibly slow start to the season. Played 5 toughest teams on their schedule to start the season. so could be in for a big awakening come playoff time.

6 Missouri Quicksand 10-5-0 L2
The opposite of CWM played its best ball to start the season. and petered out late. Not a standout in any category except punting avg. negative Turn over ratio. Has talent and Potential.

7 Constantinople Knights 8-7-0 W6
Hot Hot Hot. Won 6 games in a row, are locked in to the playoffs with tiebreakers over Matterhorn and Kickback. Statistically what you would expect for a lower seed. Punting team bails them out in the field position category. One and done In the playoffs is likely, but they can hang their hat on the journey.

8 Matterhorn Marmots 8-7-0 L5
Incredible fall from grace. after an 8-2 start this team is in a spiral. Will be very fortunate to make the tournament. If they hang on to the spot, will be an ugly game. Has the tiebreaker over Edinburgh and Kickback. So they should be in.

Pretty sure both these teams are out. Rightfully so as they have both lost the head to head with the current 8th seed. So pretty much your playoff teams are set. There is a big game coming up for the 1st seed and a little shuffle could happen with the bottom seeds.

9 Edinburgh Highlanders 7-8-0 W2

10 Kickback Cavaliers

Algarve Sharks vs. Normandy Invasion

Battle of the Conferences top teams. Undefeated s collide to decide the top seed. This should be a knock out drag out fight. Algarve brings a nasty defense and balanced offense to try to stifle the Invasions aerial assault. Look for a little bit of ugliness. Algarve should win this game with relative ease. I see the Invasion having a tough go of it offensively.

Missouri Quicksand vs. Constantinople Knights

Interesting matchup that seems to have more meaning for the Knights. The nights need this to maintain their current position in the seeding and ensure a relatively easier matchup in round one. The Quicksand would like to win to go into the playoffs with a little momentum. Conny should be well prepared and put their best foot forward.

I look for a convincing win.

Congrats Conny. If one of the top two were to be upset, this would be the most likely. Not probable at all, Conny would have to be flawless in game prep, and still need lucky sim to pull it off, but it is the playoffs. Use this great season as a laucnhing pad for season 10 campaign.

Second best matchup of the first round. If Missouri could pull head out of but this could be a game and an upset. I do not see it happening. To make it a game Miss needs to eat up clock and play near flawless defense. Something we have not seen from them to date.

Well I think there are way too many factors for Special teams. Honestly bad players with success do actually deserve the same mention if not more on special teams. and I don't like rewarding bad teams.

Nice write up, i honestly give alot more credit to Invasion then you do, to the point of thinking that at this time the game is 50/50 being that any "bortness" will give the win to one of the teams.

Got to agree on LT, mainly because our team tries to let all players shine, hence the good defensive productions.

Offensively this is kinda pointless since it's up to the teams to make the decision of letting one player shine, or to divide the ball among the offense.

I would not argue with that. it is really splitting hairs. I just tend to shy away from QBs due to the dependence on so many other positions. I take the opposite approach as everyone else, and I was a qb. I know when my OL and WRs were top notch, I was a star. when they were just OK, so was I.

The invasion are incredible. They are clearly the second best team in my view. What I said in my review was more of a great compliment to you guys than a slight to them.

I love your style of play. Defense wins championships. Teh way you guys spread the offense around and go for production for productions sake is awesome.

Hence the offensive MVP is decided by the OC, one player with most plays = MVP.

I for one like MVoffenses and not players.

This is in response to the Offensive MVP thing, i also think it's easier to be an MVP as HB then any other position.

We'll see today, one thing for sure, we have a preety wide open Playoffs, i can see anything happening and it will be on the hands of the coaches.
