#1 Margaritaville Fins 14-0 at #4 Rutgers Scarlet Knights 11-3
The Fins are coming off of a close game with a low ranked team. I don’t expect this to slow them down though. The Knights are coming off of their best win of the season against Waco. It is definitely not a pushover game, but the Fins will be ready. The Knights obviously know how to gameplan, and it will take another great one to pull off a win here.
--Playoff picture:
*If the Fins win out, they secure home field advantage through the playoffs. They need one win to secure home field through the Eastern Conference Championship.
*The Knights have brought themselves one step closer to a home playoff game, but their final two opponents are extremely good. They face the Fins, and then the 11-3 out of conference opponent. They could slip out of the 4th spot if they lose both games, but they do own the tie-breaker with the 5th and 6th spot. They definitely could use a win in the next two though. It will be interesting.
Prediction: Fins 37-17 over the Knights

#2 North Side Dream Killers 13-1 vs. #13 Cleveland Kardiac Kids 3-11
The Dream Killers won’t look past this game. They need to win to secure the second spot in the conference. The Kids are not a fun team to play though. They have been outmatched in almost every game, yet they have played well against high level teams. The Kids have done it with run defense, and the Dream Killers are a running team.
--Playoff Picture
*The Dream Killers would secure the second position in the conference with a win next week. They do have an interesting game week 16 against the top rated Western conference team.
*The Kids are not out of the clear. They are in the 13th spot at 3-11. Both teams under them at 2-12 have the tie-breaker over the Kids, not good. But because of scheduling, they are probably good to stay in the A league this year.
Prediction: Dream Killers 31-6 over the Kids

#3 New Hampshire Dragons at #6 Waco Green Puffers 10-4
The Dragons squeezed out a win against the tough Cats last week. Their opponent is a little more proven then the Cats and coming off a rough loss. Waco can not win by just passing, they will need a much better rushing average to pull off a win. Their run defense was just as bad. Don’t expect this week to be as bad for the Puffers, they may have a few tricks up their sleeve.
--Playoff picture:
*The Dragons will most likely secure a home playoff game. They play Waco next, but then their last opponent is 1-13. A win in that last game would secure at worst the 4th spot.
*The Puffers face one tough opponent. If they managed to win their next two games, they would still be able to move into the 4th spot fairly easily.
Prediction: Puffers 23-17 over the Dragons

#4 Rutgers Scarlet Knights 11-3 – See #1

Prediction:
#5 Chicago Pterodactyls 10-4 at #10 Washington Poison 5-7-2
Chicago is as hot as any team right now, but they cant seem to defeat any of the high ranking teams. They have demolished teams that were lower then them, and expect the efficient running and high level passing to do the same in this game. The Poison seemed to be pulling things together and playing the similar level teams, but they suffered a loss against the low level Kids last week. Whether it is running or passing, the Poison need to do something on offense this week to keep from being blown out.
--Playoff Picture
*The Pterodactyls have secured a playoff spot, but it would take a lot for them to earn one of the first round home games because they wouldn’t have a tie breaker against the high-level teams. They most likely will finish out in the 5th or 6th spot.
*Considering the Poison play the Pterodactyls next week, it would take a lot for them to get into the playoffs. It would require them to win out and a lot of losses by the other bubble teams.
Prediction: Pterodactyls 48-10 over the Poison

#6 Waco Green Puffers 10-4 – See #3

#7 Harrisburg Hawks 7-7 vs. Atchafalaya Swamp Weretigers 6-7-1
The Hawks have been disappointing some weeks and extremely good in others. They need an above average game here to pull out a win. They need to find the identity of their offense to win today. The Weretigers have snuck into the playoff picture. They need a great game to win today, they are outmatched, so it will take some great gameplanning to win.
--Playoff Picture
*The Hawks need to win against the Weretigers this week. If they do, they secure a playoff spot. If they lose next week, they would need a lot to happen to make the playoffs.
*The Weretigers play the Hawks next week. If they win, they secure a playoff spot. If they lose, they are out.......no pressure.
Prediction: Weretigers 13-10 over the Hawks

#8 Carolina Cardiac Cats 7-7 vs. Elk Rapids Elks 1-13
The Cats have played extremely well against the high ranked teams, credit their coaching for this. With their huge win 2 weeks ago and a close one last week, the Cats should handle the worst team in the league easily. The Elks will solidify themselves to the D-league this week, they just cant seem to win.
--Playoff Picture
*Because of the difficulty of the other bubble teams, the Cats will most likely secure a playoff spot.
*The Elks are the sole owner of the worst record in the conference. They will most likely be one of the two teams to drop down to the D leagues.
Prediction: 27-6

#9 Atchafalaya Swamp Weretigers 6-7-1 – See #7

Prediction:
#10 Washington Poison 5-7-2 – See #5

#11 Jacksonville Stars 4-10 vs. Pocono Mountain Highlanders 2-12
The Stars should continue their win streak this week. They played balanced last week and should win their second in a row. The Highlanders have the worst streak in the conference. They have not improved their team much this season, and it shows. They are likely to lose the next two games, but they do have the tie-breaker against the other major D-league bubble team, the Frogs.
--Playoff Picture
*The Stars are out of it, just playing for pride at this point.
*The Highlanders are in serious jeopardy of falling out of the league, one win might be enough. If they have a chance, it will be next week against the Stars. The Stars are better then their record though.
Prediction: Stars 13-6 over the Highlanders

#12 Orlando Ninjas 3-10-1 vs. Miami RoadFrogs 2-12
Nothing to lose in this game, except pride. The Frogs played a great defensive game last week against the Fins. They have also played fairly good defense against other teams, but can they put points on the board? They need to win today. The Ninjas have not played well this season, but they have kept games with similar level teams tight. This should be an interesting game with major implications for the D-league bubble.
--Playoff Picture
*The Ninjas will most likely keep themselves from dropping to the D league, so they are simply playing for pride at this point.
*The Frogs effort today was great, but they still are in serious jeopardy of dropping into the D leagues.
Prediction: Frogs 10-6 over the Ninjas

#13 Cleveland Kardiac Kids 3-11 – See #2

#14 Pocono Mountain Highlanders 2-12 – See #11

#15 Miami RoadFrogs 2-12 – See #12

#16 Elk Rapids Elks 1-13 – See #8

Looks good, but did you start with last week's and update? There seems to be a couple comments out of place, or maybe they just need some clearing up.

Whoo! Jaxstar pride!

Big week for the bubble teams, especially between Harrisburg and Atchafalaya.

That's what I thought. The comments all make sense, but I think at least one is now in the wrong place (ie a Stars comment on the Weretiger game, left over from last round).

Hey fellas, make sure that your teams know about these posts, I like hearing comments. I am still waiting for a negative one. Maybe I should just pick a big team to get blown out by a lower level team, that might get something stirred up.

Good to see some EAST talk fellas. I know we (ELKS) are not doing very well right now, but we are trying to improve. Our goal right now is to be competitive next season. Right now we're in the process of trying to getting more active players. The good news is we have an owner that will do his best to make us competitive. Anyway, looking forward to hanging around and talking. good luck in all your games this week!

i like your write-ups, bro...they are very objective and your predictions are sometimes scary accurate!

just stop picking us to win...we rather the underdog role......lol, but we like the attention!!!

if only we could recover some of those conference leading forced fumbles....seems we got some hard hitters!

all BS aside...keep up the great work, seems everyone enjoys it...which is why there's not many rebuttals.

Geaux Weretigers!

Part of me wants Harrisburg to win so we can clinch today and another part wants the 9th place team to win this week and lose next so we have a shot of seventh and avoid the fins. But I will be real nervous going into the last game without clinching yet
