9 Teams, 8 Spots, and Homefield up for grabs here is a team by team analysis of what could happen.

LOCKS

1. Oslo Tigers 14-0 and have a stranglehold on First Place
Upcoming Schedule: Palermo (6-8) and NY Pal Pounders (0-14)
Should easily finish 16-0 and homefield throughout.

Oslo, with the exception of the Cambridge game, has totally dominated this league. The Tigers first challenge should begin in the Conference Finals against the Cheiftains.

2. Cambridge Chieftains 13-1
Upcoming Schedule: New York (0-14) and Palermo (6-8)
Predicted Finish: 15-1 (2nd Seed)

Cambridge so wishes it could have back their game against Oslo. It is the sole blemish on an otherwise incredible season.

FIGHT FOR 3RD

3. Leganfeld Longhorns 11-3
Upcoming Schedule: Lowestall (11-3) & Lagen Niners (7-7)
Predicted Finish: 13-3 (3rd Seed)

Have had a great season, and their fight for 3rd comes down to a week 15 showdown with Trawlermen. I'll give it to them in this thread, but these teams are good enough that the final score could go both ways. Also their week 16 game has great implications for the #8 seed.

4. Lowestall Trawlermen 11-3
Upcoming Scheddule: Langenfeld (11-3) and Hamburg (6-8)
Predicted Finish: 12-4 (4th Seed)

Great Team that has had a great season. See #3 for details of their week 15 showdown.

THE MURKY MIDDLE - Three teams who could go any which direction for 5-6-7

5. Las Vegas Holdem-Foldem 9-5
Upcoming Schedule: Detroit (2-12) and Buffalo (6-8)
Predicted Finish 11-5 (5th Seed)

Definately have the easier schedule of the three teams with 9-5 records. Should Tiebreaker come into play they beat Inverness but lost to Copenhagen.

6. Inverness Monsters 9-5
Upcoming Schedule: Hamburg (6-8) and Cambridge (13-1)
Predicted Finish: 10-6 (6th Seed)

By virtue of their earlier season win over Copenhagen they get the nod here and avoid another meeting with Cambridge in the second round. However, if Copenhagen wins both their final games then Inverness falls to the dreaded 7th spot.

7. Copenhagen Cunning Stunts 9-5
Upcoming Schedule: Buffalo 6-8 and Bern 7-7
Predicted Finish: 10-6 (7th Seed)

Okay, as the owner of Bern I have to admit bias here in predicting them to lose to us in week 16. Should Copenhagen win, of course. However, we need this game in a bad way. So I go with my team.

THE LAST SPOT

8. Bern Inferno 7-7
Upcoming Schedule: Monoco SHarks 2-12 and Copenhagen 9-5
Predicted Finish 9-7 8th Seed

Oh how we wish we didn't lose the Inverness game by a end of the game KR TD. And oh how we wish we held the head to head tie breaker against Leganfan Niners. But we don't. Bern's season comes down to it's game against Copenhagen in week 16 and a little help from the Longhorns in beating the Niners like they should.

9. Lagen Fanzone Niners 7-7
Upcoming Schedule: Paris 3-11 and Lagenfeld Longhorns 11-3
Predicted Finish 8-8 Out of Playoffs

The Niners hold the tie breaker agaist the Inferno, and either need to win out or hope that Copenhagen beats Bern like they should. It all comes down to week 16 folks.

Excellent build up summary to the season end. Good work. I am not as confident as you that the Monsters will win one of their last two. I am sure that our game against Vipers will go to them. So the Monsters will only get the one playoff game this year, but hey at least it's our first playoff season!

Great stuff ! the battle for 5-8th spot is really close and interesting. The shuffle that Bort did with the leagues has made this a great season with very few gimme games, wish he would do it with all the leagues
