We had a few surprising games in week 11. Only one top five team lost, but overall the league is very competitive and the standings reflect that. Here are the updated rankings:
#1 -- LOL is the only undefeated team and continues to pull away from the other top teams with a 59-9 victory over Cairo. Even if they end up with a loss to SLS or Somalia, it wouldn't significantly weaken their strength of record. I don't think we'll see a change at the top for the rest of the season.
#2 -- After the week 10 loss to LOL, DD spent a week regrouping and practicing with the local high school team. If anyone was silly enough to let the two teams play each other, DD probably would have won by 378 points.
#3 -- SLS also took the week off from Pro games but did play against a local village team. The 244-0 victory didn't prove anything but did put them in a position to move up one spot when the opportunity presented itself.
#4 -- DeSWK's undefeated season is over after a 31-45 loss to an Angola Dream team that needed the win. DeSWK dropped one spot as a result, but since they have the same strength of record as SLS I wouldn't be surprised to see both teams swap places once or twice in the near future.
#5 -- The Angola Spider Monkeez defeated the South African Ridgebacks 36-27 as the third and final team in the top 10 to stay put. The Rhinos are up next, though.
In the rest of the top 10, Seychelles Island moved up to #6 after defeating Nairobi 57-7; Somalia moved up to #7 with 27-25 nailbiter win over TLGoT, who in turn dropped one spot to #10; Sahara fell two places to #8 after getting gored by the Rhinos 34-44; and the Angola Dream team jumped to #9 after their victory over DeSWK.
