So I've got a huge game with Dunkirk tomorrow that's going to have big playoff implications and I was gonna share my picks for playoff seeding at this point:
Tier 1
1) Kilkenny - They've destroyed everyone and are the only undefeated team left. They've only played one of the current top six seeds (Salerno) but they killed them. They have some loseable games left - I think the best chance for a loss is the Express, but that's a longshot.
2) Dunkirk - Solid team, very solid offense. Suffered a setback to the Express. This team has an outside shot at beating the Sidhe but they'll need some luck to do so. If the pull off this upset they could get the one seed - don't count on it though. Huge win against Salerno tomorrow night would help them avoid the second round matchup with the Sidhe and knock off any hope the Anaesthesiologists have of hosting a second-round playoff game. I expect the 2-4 seeds to each end with two losses and the tiebreak will be points scored - this will give Dunkirk the two seed. If Salerno wins tomorrow night or loses to the Beef this all changes.
3) Express - suffered a major upset to Salerno - a game they'd probably win nine times out of ten. This probably cpst them the two seed If they beat the Sidhe they get the one seed and, after the game with Salerno, they're due for a little luck.
4) Salerno - ok I know a little about this squad. We have the advantage of being the only team in the top four that has played two of the other top four members. Salerno was very lucky to get a win against the Express and then got trounced by the Sidhe. If they (I) manage to beat Dunkirk tomorrow I'll probably get the two seed unless the Beef upset me. That being said, this team was built to win next season - no stamina, no player on the OL or a FB with speed greater than 10 is not a recipe for success.
5) Vienna Beef - gonna need some help to get a home playoff game. They have to step up and beat two of the top four seeds (Sidhe and Salerno) or beat Salerno and have Salerno lose to Dunkirk tomorrow night. Unfortunately for them they've already lost to Dunkirk, so if the Dirtheads lose tomorrow the path to a home playoff game for the Beef goes from tortuous to almost impossible.
Tier 2 - I don't think any of these teams have a legitimate shot of winning it all
6) Antioch - 10-6
7) Damage - 9-7
8) Nashua - 8-8
9) Springwood - 8-8 but lost tiebreak with Nashua
10) Kansas City - The good news for them is they are 6-3. The bad news for them is they have 3 guaranteed losses, one guaranteed win, and their 6 wins have come against the teams currently rated 10-15. I'll believe they can beat a playoff team when I see it. They have games left against seeds 1,2,4,7,8,9 and I think they lose them all. If they win one of these games they may sneak in. Their game against Nashua should decide the 8 seed.
