ZETA CONFERENCE
-----

A computer upset, in Luxembourg winning on top. Does it shake things up? A lot of midcarders underperformed this week as well. Lets see how things look

1 Red River Ruminants 15 1
2 Whitechapel Rippers 14 2
3 October Wildfire 14 2
4 Luxembourg Lightning Bolts 14 2
5 London Olympians 12 4
6 Glasgow Cats 10 6
7 Flint Hobo 9 7
8 Reading Armed Centaurs 8 8
9 Alrington Sandlot 7 9
10 Leipzig Lions 6 10
11 Rome Ramblin' Thornites 5 11
12 Barcelona Bisons 4 12
13 Russian Strelets 3 13
14 Mile High Hitmen 3 13
15 Honolulu Wave Riders 1 15
16 St. George Javalinas 0 16

Well, Luxembourg is still supposed to lose to Wildfire and RRR. The 3-way tiebreak goes by points scored, which are projected to be ranked in the order listed above. The Lions continue their fall, and Honolulu drops down and is projected to lose all of their remaining games.

3 big games remain to determine the top 4 seeds. Here are the current projections.
RRR > Wildfire 33-14
RRR > Luxem 60-11
Wildfire > Luxem 58-26

No love! Not sure why, either.

How about this week?

October Wildfire vs Mile High Hitmen (99-5) Spread: 94
Luxembourg Lightning Bolts vs Barcelona Bisons (79-14) Spread: 65
Red River Ruminants vs Rome Ramblin' Thornites (109-3) Spread: 106
Whitechapel Rippers vs Honolulu Wave Riders (182-7) Spread: 175
Flint Hobo vs Reading Armed Centaurs (31-24) Spread: 7
London Olympians vs St. George Javalinas (233-0) Spread: 233
Glasgow Cats vs Leipzig Lions (74-20) Spread: 54
Alrington Sandlot vs Russian Strelets (59-28) Spread: 31

A big spread here, as the top teams all get a week off. Game of the week will have playoff seeding implications between Flint and Reading Armed. Good luck to both squads, I'm sure this one means a lot to both of them

As good as this looks for the Ruminants, I don't believe it. I can not be this optimistic.

I am not saying that Luxembourg will beat both of these teams, but I would be surprised if our defense gave up 60 points to any team.

GO bolts!

LLB never gets love. But I am posative we will not get worked that bad....Not saying we will win but we will sure as hell make both of those teams work for it.

I hope so, I am getting kinda board with the lack of competition. This re org was not all that it was initially touted as. I agree with Oct in that competition breeds enthusiasm. Yes it is nice to win, but it is also nice to win against level competition.

I totally agre. It does sucks that we have 3 games all season to really get jacked up and put forth all of our planning efforts in. Really the rest of them we just kinda let whatever is set ride on till the next real competition.

This may hurt us in the computer rankings lol.

It's all good we like being the underdogs.

It is the same here, don't worry about that. We are ready to start the playoffs today. Unless one of the #5 through #8 teams really pull together, you could probably go ahead and start the second round of the playoffs. These regular season games are not going to matter much. For each of us, we are going to be facing at least two of the fab four to get to the conference championship.

Yeah, no offense to the #7-16 teams (I respect London and Glasgow enough as competitors in this league), but I'm really disappointed in the reorg. I guess Bort went by levels, and what really matters is quality and depth. I mean just compare the bars, I'm not saying they mean a lot, but when Wildfire is sitting on just going to 60, and these other teams have 51 bars, there is a major difference!!

Bort should do reorg based on levels, bars, previous season success, etc. - a lot more than just levels. A lot of teams in this league hardly had success last season, but ended up in BBB#2?

--

Well one thing I am glad for is that we didn't land in BBB#1. As a team who doesn't recruit, we would have all been screwed up there. There are level 48+ teams in WEBBB1 without the cap now, lol, so I think we're right where we wanted to be.

I haven't watched any of your film, but I'm not sure why the computer gives you no love. I don't know what to expect in our week 16 game, I'll figure it out after we play RRR, but I sure as heck don't expect to win easily!

I have a feeling that'll be a dog-fight for who gets a rematch with Whitechappel in round 2, something both of us would be looking for

I think the reorg was for the best. We would have won our last conference hands down. At least here I have to plan and I'm enjoying it. This is basically like our next season would have been. In over our level in a A level.

Should be a great play-off.

I am guessing that the computer does not know how to handle our special teams production
