2. A5 LC Alumni rock! 5 of the top 7 are A5 founders
3. AA3 Remnants are worryingly sinking without a trace
4. Defenses are getting meaner
5. The Booties Punter is levelling up at an alarming rate

6. The suggested levels for AA3 are higher than any other Africa AA League (32-55)
7. Without AA3 The Africa AA Tournament died a rueful death before a ball was kicked

A season after your team was relegated to A ball, cutie pie.

In other words, most of us have been here slugging it out with good teams while you've been struggling to return to your "homeland". Not that I've been able to find "Combat" on a map anywhere.

it should be noted that the previous owners bailed on their team, which dropped it to A.
That should not be attributed to current management.
And I don't think it was much of a struggle to get here. But lets see where the rest of this season goes. We may be seeing you again.

That's fair. Didn't know that, and it makes a difference. I withdraw my previous comment - especially after our game today, which was as good a smash-mouth game as I've been involved in since, oh, the Big Monkeys game earlier this season.

exception to the rule

damn anyone in the top 8 can win this thing. seeding doesn't mean a thing other than home field advantage and the cash windfall that comes with it.

for example, as things stand QPR's route to the final would be:
Round 1 - Silverbacks
Round 2 - Ratels/Blood Diamonds
O_o

this is going to be one long campaign for whoever wins the thing!

in all seriousness, this conference is just nasty. while scrimmages don't mean everything, when i look at the LC teams records in their scrimmages when i scout, they usually win.

if all things are even and everyone is experimenting, which we do every scrimmage, our records should be much closer to .500. but they are not. we win 80% almost every year and so do the rest of you.

we are now trying to schedule more and more AAA teams to get a better feel for what playing you freaks are like. other leagues AA teams just don't match up to you guys and i am talking top to bottom. those guys would be conference favorites in so many other places.

i love this league. i hate respect you all.

we're all peas from the same pod. we all love to gameplan and we're a smart bunch of meticulous nerds leaving nothing to chance. i loved Eric's idea from 2-3 seasons ago about Dynasty leagues as the competition is fierce every season. there is no let up in the schedule. i believe QPR's first half of this season was probably her toughest ever and barring a couple of scores the games were close affairs. but it doesn't end.

this league is relentless. Ratels, Wildehonds, Durban, CATs and West Nile are all yet to come and all of them have .5 records or better and 4 of which are part of our mini-gaunlet! it's maddening

my team, the Cavaliers, were reshuffled to a league with similar levelled teams and we are pillaging the East Coast with no mercy that we're almost running on auto. even Chechen Warlords, a slow build BBB team are competitive against teams with weaker strategic nouse.

but this league? no you can't do that. every opponent is a worthy opponent and every win brings satisfaction.

having said all that, there's a small matter of the number 1 seeding that'll be fought out tomorrow between 2 EC heavyweights. i'll be watching Rundu and the Pirates (sounds like a childern's TV show ) with great interest.

on my other team i left in last season game plan until 3 games ago and we were undefeated but giving up points. i installed the basic portion of our silverbacks game plan and we have given up one FG in three games. we have a semi-tough team in two days, but i don't expect them to score more than 10 points.

i tweak the silverbacks every game, but only add stuff to the other one two or three times a season.
