Could be worse. We are 7-0 and moved up to tenth. Behind a one loss team and a two loss team both of who we play next so maybe we can move up then.

It seems like we beat this dead horse last season as well. They rankings are based on offensive output, defensive output, and strength of schedule. Your actual record doesn't necessarily have anything to do with it.

For example, the Houston Texans two years ago finished 8-8 in what was considered one of the toughest division in the NFL. The Giants (who eventually won the Super Bowl) were 10-6, but would have been ranked much lower in a ranking system of this style since the NFC East was weaker from top to bottom that year and 6 of their games came from that weaker division.

Anyway, I know a lot of this is talking for talking's sake, but it's not like there some crazed monkey behind the computer seeing how muchhe can create on a ranking's thread.

It's just stats. Nothing more. Recover 18 fumbles and you'll probably move up a few spots.
