ALPHA
Movin on up - Warsaw continues to climb the rankings as they now sit at #2. While they are undefeated and should probably be ranked #1 at this point, Moscow has had a couple easy wins which gives them the edge.
Going down - The DC Squashers slid 5 places this week, but it was not entirely due to their loss. They lost to a quality Warlock team that is currently undefeated. This is more the result of my formula amendment to lessen the gutted team factor and focus more on wins.
Lviv also dropped a couple places after losing to Moscow. This was a #1 vs #2 matchup in my rankings and the system got it right. We'll be testing the accuracy of these rankings again in week 8 with Moscow squaring off against the Warlocks.

ZETA
Movin on up - Once again, we have a new #1 in Zeta. With so many undefeated teams at the top, this conference will likely be trading places threoughout the season. Congrats to the Hoplites who have regained control of the top spot. Now let's see how long you can hold onto it.
Going down - The only big move in Zeta this week was Lefkada's fall from grace at the top. The beat down handed out by the AZ Knights sure sent the message that they weren't the kings of the hill. And if that wasn't bad enough, Grid Iron Valor is up next, hoping to kick them while they're down. Good luck with that one.

Don't count us out quite yet Looking forward to the warlocks game.

Yeah, but you should probably be more worried about beating Moscow first.

Aren't they the team that beat you in the first round of the playoffs two seasons ago?

We beat two of the teams ranked above us now so as far as my team goes these ranking don't mean anything.

true but i wasnt around for that game, i think warlocks look tougher.

They're just numbers.

Feel free to ignore them.

The reason your team ranks lower the two teams you beat is mostly because you have less wins and they both have better teams on paper.
While I could easily ignore player levels and overall ratings, I feel this has something to do with how good a team is.
Obviously, you guys have good gameplanning which is not considered in my rankings.
If anything, you could say that my rankings prove that.

That should mean something anyway.

Considering that we also had to beat the 300 Spartans, DC Squashers & Spartan Hoplites last Season to win the League Championship which are 3 more teams you have ranked ahead of us it just proves that you can't go by numbers. It's just like using scouting bars to determine how good a team is. Then again, I have always liked being underestimated!!!

Why are you so worked up about numbers than?

Just to clarify, these aren't my opinions of who the best teams are.
It's just something I'm doing cause these forums sucked ass for so long.

I actually appreciate you commenting that you deserve to be ranked better.
I'm gonna look and see if there's any way that I could've had you ranked higher.

But my guess is that the only way to solve that is to do a strength of schedule ranking which would take me too much time.

One thing I considered was adding bonus points if you've beat any of the teams ahead of you in the rankings.
But again, that would require too much work as I'd have to search for that information manually.

If you got any ideas that won't add significant work, let's hear it.
But I realize that doing this in the easiest way I can will make sure it gets done every week, but will also produce results that aren't 100% accurate.
