GAME OF THE WEEK
Atlanta Wolves v Da NOLA Brah!!! K&B Purples
Two 4-1 teams square off in what should be a very competitive game between fairly even opponents. Atlanta crushed Da NOLA last season, but things are different now Brah. Both teams beat up Buffalo and both got rabbit punched by Furious. I think Atlanta's offensive is a bit more explosive and those mystery VAs will come into play once again. Atlanta 38, Da NOLA 21.
OTHER GAMES
Furious George v Bowdoin Polar Bears
Bowdoin is off to a fairly decent start, but they won't be in the playoff race. The main question is not whether Furious will lose at some point but whether anyone can even keep it close. Furious 115, Bowdoin 7.
Maine Hawks v Buffalo Beasts
Buffalo got in the win column finally last time out, while Maine has been there all season. Maine just has too much in all 3 phases for Buffalo. Next week at Furious will be interesting. Maine 55, Buffalo 17.
Montana Grizzlies v Manhattan Massacre
Montana has only been challenged once this season, while Manhattan has been on a journey back to respectability. This is a nice example of how "useful" scouting bars are in that Montana is a far and away better team, though the bars say otherwise. Montana 45, Manhattan 10.
Martha's Vineyard Ballbusters v New Orleans Poison
MV is very quietly staying towards the top of the standings. Martha's Vineyard 200, New Orleans 0.
Pittsburgh Powerhouse v Welsh Dragons
I really like this game. It is a great "dividing line" game in that we find out exactly where in the pecking order these guys stand. The loser most likely will be out of the playoff race early. Pittsburgh has defied my picks early and often and Welsh is really just getting started. I think Pittsburgh's d-line makes just enough plays to win. Pittsburgh 27, Welsh 24.
Vice City Mambas v Detroit Outlaws
VC has just been brutalized by upper tier teams the past 2 games, while Detroit has shown they are the king of their town, but still get killed against the elite. VC is probably a lower level playoff team, while Detroit is just outside looking in. Vice City 42, Detroit 21.
Detroit Diablos v Houghton Gremlins
Detroit wakes up from their nightmare against the Outlaws and gets back to .500. Detroit 150, Houghton 3.
