Season 9: Week 6

The only change in the rankings for this week is that the Leipzig Lions leapfrog the Mile High Hitmen into 8th position with their win last week.

This weeks rankings:

1. (1) October Wildfire
2. (2) Luxembourg Lightning Bolts
3. (3) Red River Ruminants
4. (4) Whitechapel Rippers
5. (5) London Olympians
6. (6) Glasgow Cats
7. (7) Flint Hobo
8 (9) Leipzig Lions
9. (8) Mile High Hitmen
10. (10) Reading Armed Centaurs
11. (11) Barcelona Bisons
12. (12) Arlington Sandlot
13. (13) Honolulu Wave Riders
14. (14) Rome Ramblin' Thornites
15. (15) Russian Strelets
16. (16) St. George Javalinas

This weeks games:

1. (1) October Wildfire vs. (4) Whitechapel Rippers
Whitechapel won their game last week against the Glasgow Cats, but they didn't dominate as much as I thought they would. The Wildfire performed about as I expected. This will be a good game, but the Wildfire are too much for Whitechapel, and will start to show their dominance in the second half.

October Wildfire 42 : Whitechapel Rippers 28

2. (2) Luxembourg Lightning Bolts vs. (5) London Olympians **** Game of the Week ****
If you look at the rating bars, it looks like London is ahead of Luxembourg, but if you look at their last 5 games, it is clear that Luxembourg is the better team. Still London's talent will keep them in the game until the 2nd half, where Luxembourg will start to pull away.

Luxembourg Lightning Bolts 46 : London Olympians 32

3. (3) Red River Ruminants vs. (7) Flint Hobo
The Hobo's in league games have been fairly soft up until this point. The Red River Ruminants are about to harden it up quite a bit. RRR is just a better team, and will make the Hobo's feel homeless again.

Red River Ruminants 54: Flint Hobo 21

4. (6) Glasgow Cats vs. (11) Barcelona Bisons
This will be an interesting match up. The Cats are still struggling to find their offense, but so are the Bisons. I believe the Cats will continue their win one, loose one, cycle and pull off the win here.

Glasgow Cats 34 : Barcelona Bisons 26

5. (8) Leipzig Lions vs. (16) St. George Javalinas
The Lions are feeling pretty good after last weeks win over The Mile High Hitmen, they will feel even better after they maul the St. George Javalinas

Leipzig Lions 55 : St. George Javalinas 0

6. (9) Mile High Hitmen vs. (14) Rome Ramblin' Thornites
The Hitmen are a bit sore after last week. Expect them to take it out on the Ramblin' Thornites who are still struggling to get the ball into the endzone.

Mile High Hitmen 26 : Rome Ramblin' Thornites 21

7. (10) Reading Armed Centaurs vs. (15) Russian Strelets
On paper these two teams are close. In the digital world, the RAC know how to put points on the board, and will get it done this week.

Reading Armed Centaurs 35 : Russian Strelets 21

8. (12) Arlington Sandlot vs. (13) Honolulu Wave Riders
One of these two teams is better than the other one, but I'll be damned if I can tell you which one it is. Honolulu has had trouble putting points on the board, while Arlington can't seem to keep them off. If I had to pick a winner, which I do, I will have to go with Arlington. Even in the games they have lost they have managed to score at least something.

Arlington Sandlot 31 : Honolulu Wave Riders 30

Good Luck Everyone!

I think Luxembourg is a pretty big unknown still, with no true opposition. Will be interesting to see what they've really got. Haven't watched any film of theirs yet, but I'm sure I'll watch that game

We are curious to see how we do this week too.
The win against Dundin Mifler tells me the that our team is solid.
Waiting to see how this week's game goes to know where to improve.

go bolts!

Dunder had a weird preseason. They barely beat the rippers, lost easily to london, barely lost to luxembourg, and disposed of wildfire quite easily. However as you'd think that would imply something about london in zeta, it clearly did not.

I tried taking Dunder's preseason games seriously until our game with London and I remembered not to pay attention to preseason . Though wildfire did play green island in the preseason, barely won, then green island boosted, and we won even more easily.. lol

That just told you that don't pay attention on the preseason..... Or maybe, our gameplan suck...... So it's better we just use the basic tactics....lol

pre-season doesn't mean shit. i was on my honeymoon. we did no gameplanning whatsoever. i won't have an excuse this week when we play a tough wildfire. ugh, i'm looking forward to the competition, don't know how it'll turn out though.

I thought you said gameplanning in the regular season was for chumps .

Yeah preseason is worthless. Tactics checks, new plays, new roster, etc.

Absolutely no clue how the match will turn out either. Some great builds on both sides of the ball, I think.

Just to let everyone know, in preseason we were using a basic AI just to see what are strengthes were. So, you cant really judge us by that

Good,
Then your team with the basic AI and our team with the basic AI are fairly evenly matched

Ugh, that game really pissed me off to watch, lol. Dropped a 3rd down TD pass, failed to recover a forced fumble on your 8 with under 1:00 to go, lost the overtime coinflip, and failed to recover the forced fumble in overtime. Oh well, moving on, will be a nice battle in the playoffs should we meet
