Another quick look back on the previous week, since I seemed to have missed it....
No big news over in Alpha land, except for the solid 26-13 winning performance put on by the "Big Heads" from Easter Island, over the Vanuatu Reef Raiders. The Raiders still have lot's of games left to play, and they gave both of the top teams in Alpha great games, so don't count them out anytime soon! Great game guys!!
Over in Zetaville, things seem to be chugging along at a normal pace.... The Seahawks seem to have their claws firmly clamped on first place with a 83-15 beatdown over the KSU Wildcats.
The big move was by the Gold Rush, jumping back into 3rd place with an overtime victory against the Endzone Warriors. Talk about finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, Kalgoorlie found it!!! From just looking at the stats, it was almost a dead heat the whole game, but the Warriors lost two fumbles to the Gold Rush, and I bet those had a big impact on the game! Great game guys!!!
Also, the Brisbane Bulldogs played their old foe the Newcastle Ghosts, and it looks like the Bulldogs missed their rabies vaccinations this season, cause they came out rabid and frothing at the mouth, with fangs sharpened!!! Solid and convincing 59-30 win over the Ghosts!! The Ghosts, a very solid football team, have so far been rather transparent in their performance this season, but they have lot's of games left to rise from the grave!
Week 6 up next....
