I thought i would throw this out there. This time of year all of the talk seems to be on the top 8-10 teams and the bottom 2-3 teams. Instead of talking playoffs and who gets demoted, i wanted to devote a thread to talking about those guys that started off slow and have since turned things around.

The first couple that pop into my mind are Grand Haven and spicewood in the West and Orlando and Atchafalaya Swamp in the East.

Hawks were picked to finish 15th in the East preseason, I thought that was rubbish to begin with, and it certainly is now.

Nice thread idea

My vote would have to go to the Mist who still haven't reached their full potential after making great moves throughout the course of the season to solidify a team that lost their first 6 games. Even in those losses, none were really blowouts except for the 65 Waco dropped on them in week one. It really turned around when they beat a solid Scottsdale team, proving to me and many others that they have arrived. Next season will definitly be interesting for them.

GH and Spicewood would get my vote as well. The only team I keep up with in the East is Harrisburg and I have no idea where they were picked pre-season.

Thanks fanatic/Modak...Based on our opening 3 games, going 1-2 and barely showing up for the 2nd half against Oakland in game 1, our current 9-4 record is a pretty good turn-around. GH definitely had our attention after they beat Scottsdale.

I forgot all about the preseason poles, that would be awesome if some could dig those up for a nice little compare and contrast.

were you guys really picked 15th, holy cow.

I vote for Grand Haven Mist as the biggest comeback. I haven't really been keeping up with the East teams.

The Stars have fallen short... but some of that was schedule - we will take two and possibly three of our final matches. Also, we lost one game we should have taken and failed to pull upsets on our closer games.

According to those preseason rankings, and where we're at now, I think we're the most improved, but I think next year is gonna be a ton of fun.

Grand Haven Mist, Spicewood Longhorns - both have shrewd and aggressive owners that have worked hard to build their rosters and get their teams competitive

I was feeling nice about my improved status here in Orlando... until our owner went and posted that preseason chart. Thanks for the morale boost, boss.
