These arent my rankings, they are generated using a Greasemonkey Script.

The script is found here http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/47773

For Greasemonkey go here http://www.glbwiki.com/index.php?title=Greasemonkey_Scripts

I am sure as the season goes on we will have fewer ties. Formatting will probably be pretty bad.

Good stuff McMichael, thanks

I'm surprised by where Bucharest is at. I know their two losses are to the #1 and #2 teams....but they got beat up pretty badly by those two. Should be fun to see how it shakes out as the season goes on, as I've never seen how these rankings work.

EDIT

Ah never mind...I see now, Bucharest has the #1 offense and #5 defense...that will do it.

the chubby wizards are the team to beat in the Alpha side, IMO

i love the fact that we re playing them on the last game of the season
depending on how the season goes, that game could affect the playoff seed of several teams

I said that from the beginning about the Wizards, though your team has definitely impressed.

That last game will be great...probably for the #1 seed, but I don't know how it will affect other teams...unless you get tripped up by the Transformers, but with their 1 loss already, as long as you don't lose to them, it won't change anything at the end.

thanks for the update

it s somewhat baffling that the raccoons are ranked under siberia, but yet beat them 41-9

this makes no sense... A 5-0 team ranked 14th with 2-3 teams in front of them? I am not mad at you, because I know it is a script, but this is just wrong...

I think it is based more on the scores and how you beat or lost to teams. Say you lost to a better team by a few points or beat a better team by a lot you will be ranked higher. If you blow out the teams you should you wont gain much form that. If you are 5-0 but only won by small margins or barely beat teams you should have beaten by more you wont be rated as high. This is just my guesses as to how it works. Plus it is still early in the season and just like the spreadsheets that do league ranking this wont be that accurate until after week 10 or so in my opinion.

4 out of 5 of your opp. are 0-5

3 out of 5 of Kaunas's opp. are 5-0

They had a tough schedule so far you you had a super easy schedule so far. Makes plenty of sense to me.

Ya, strength of schedule seems to play a significant role in this one. I will try to keep the script for this up to date so any bugs that pop up will be fixed. I prefer this to the spread sheets since I dont have to go through and do manual input for the data.

And Siberia (the other 2-3 team) had losses to opponents who are 5-0, 5-0, and 4-1.

My team has been getting it's teeth kicked in for a week now so what do I know? Well, as I have mentioned to some of your other more vocal owners and GM's, by all means, huddle together with your other holdover teams and sneer at the competition.

McMichael, you have been a very good guy to everyone in the forums thus far so please don't take this as picking on you - I'm not. I'm just illustrating a point. Since you were speaking to one of the "newbies" or "noobs". You explained the spreadsheet like as if you were talking to a child. The fact remains that most of these very understrength teams were expansion teams last year. The very fact that they can compete at all speaks volumes about how clever they are and how well they play. You weren't disrespectful, McMichael (you seem to be a really good guy), it's just that this unmerited arrogance permeates everthing about most of the "holdover" teams. Would it suprise you that some of us have much more experience with it (the spreadsheet) than you? While I suppose that Black Seas and Michigan would prefer that I let you maintain your illusions of invincibility while they sneak up on you, the condescension does become irritating. Keep thinking of these teams as "little brothers" and more than a few of you are gonna wake up asking, "How'd they win the league?" or at least, "How'd they beat us?".

There are problems with all of these spreadsheets when they lack data. That is all it is. I/we don't know as much as we should about "you guys" but we are studying. "You guys" know little about us and some of you aren't bothering to learn - that ultimately could be your undoing. There are perhaps 6 teams that can dominate any one of us every time we play. The rest better be careful. Most of these "noobs" have teams above this level that they own or GM. There is something wrong if you think Siberia (I am sorry for saying this Siberia - it is not meant as a slam) even compares to Black Sea, let alone is 7 spots above them. They were the class of our league last year and have shown no different this year. Take them lightly at your leisure. There is no "earning respect" or "paying dues" in this little computer sim. Some of you have a severe blindspot there.

You realize the spreadsheet is generated by a script, and not someone's personal feelings, right?
