Have fun with 60 strength, no equip, on a LOT in the next season or two. Not going to work. You can get away with no equip on it if you go to 68 early enough so it fades into the 70s, but you'll be in trouble without that much.

LOT I'd probably do something like..

68 str
68 blk
68 agi
60 spd
60 vis
48 conf
1-1-1-2-4(+AEQ) = 9 protect

Obv the 60 spd/vis come last, and you can customize the build with equip

what if you cap strength at 60 early, say level 7, and let it rise from there? strength would rise to about 70 with natural gains by level 40 right? wouldn't that save you 24 SPs for other priorities like blk, agi, spd, vis, etc

Correct, it would gain to about 70. It would be an interesting build to try, sure. Just be sure to get strength done ASAP like that.

Plus, look at it this way. Level 7 = 6*0.4 gains = +2.4, decimal at 0.4, PERFECT for a 0.51 cap. So you can actually spend all the way to 61.40 at level 7. Then use the fill-bar, and have 62.40 at level 7, and by level 40 gain to ~72.8. Throw one piece of level 40 equip on the guy, and you're looking at 77.8 strength, probably enough to combat the majority of RDEs in this game.

Does the info in the thread above make Blocking less important so that only 60 capped Blocking is sufficient, or does it simply rank third behind Strength and Agility?

Maybe this is the answer. I think it means take blocking to 68+

What about blocking?

Blocking applies to both run and pass blocking, and goes into determining the rolls you get when deciding who is winning the blocking battle; i.e. who gets the chance to push the other guy, or the chance to pancake, etc. The better your blocking, the better chance you have to keep winning the battle. It also increases the radius from which you can block a player by a little.

I'm thinking the new changes may make vision more important . . . not one of the "Big Three" but definitely competing with speed.

At the LOT position, Speed and Vision have become major issues with the sim on the basis of people discovering the value of fast, agile DEs combined with the ROLB on the blitz.

I've been seeing more and more of this since season 7, and I've been exploiting it myself....

hence why it was toward the end of the build plan. I'd estimate around level 40. Mine will be capping speed with boosts, so at level 44.

Octowned, Outside Blocker has a lot of use on pitches with the Guards. They pull and take out the inside last guy, which forces the secondary to have to cover more ground. As a result, they generally take more direct angles to the current locatino of the HB. A good speed HB blows by them for lots of yardage. That's why my Guards are going OB after PB (all went PB to start b/c fuck it why not)
