Alpha notes --> No doubt the Tennessee/Hamilton game was the game of the week. The Tiger Cats had a huge 1st quarter, but the Scorpions really dominated the second half. Everything is going pretty much as expected so far in the Alpha.

Very big showdown between Canary Island and Vatican City in week 4. I can't wait to see the outcome of that game.

Zeta notes --> A very interesting week in the Zeta conference. Transylvania knocked Roman from the rank of unbeatens with a convincing 69-0 win. Beer Drinkers continue their impressive run in the conference, and Dusseldorf is hanging in there with Beer Drinkers and Transylvania.

Too many 3-0 teams in Alpha right now. It will sort itself out after next week. If Canary Island wins, they will have a strangle hold on Alpha, if Vatican wins there is no telling what the power rankings will look like.

The CPU and weak teams are skewing the rankings a bit. Once everyone has at least one quality game under their belt, the power rankings should shape up.

A little better explanation from the creator of the script...

"Early on teams will have ties for their position since the overall formula is looking at your opponents wins and losses and there is only 2 weeks of data being used. It gets more disparity as the season wears on.

example: If your team is 2-0 but both teams you have beat are 0-2 the formula will assume those teams are bad and not give you extra points for beating bad teams.


EDIT* Also, as long as you don't have a lot of ties with the offense and defense ranks then things should be working correctly."

I hope that is true, since my team played Svalbard tough in our scrimmage game.

Damn, why is everyone confident that teams I am associated with will do well except me? I'd pick Svalbard to finish 3rd or 4th. Berlin, Vatican, and Canary Islands are all very good teams.
