Week 3 is over, and there were no big suprises. Here's a quick re-cap....

In the Alpha Conference.....

Cook Island takes home the win over the Tridents. They tried to give it up in the fourth, allowing the Tridents 14 points to get within 9, but there never really was a doubt on the Power Ranger sideline. Nice game Rangers.

I'm a little suprised about the outcome of the Darwin Hardliners, Guam Gamecocks game. I guess Darwin forgot to put on their spurs, something you can't go without, when in a cock fight. Impressive win by the Gamecocks!

In the Zeta conference......

Bama pulls out a narrow 20-16 victory against the Endzone Warriors, in what turned out to be a hard fought, defensive struggle. Bama's D wins the day, holding the Warriors to just one touchdown, and almost scoreless in the 4th quarter, except for a field goal with less than 2 minutes left, to pull within 4 points. Then, with 54 seconds left, the Red Elephants shut down the Warriors last offensive drive, keeping them out of scoring territory.

Great game Warriors!!!!

And how about the Bullies from Brisbane???? Looks like they decided to show up and play some football, sending the Gators back to their swamp down under, in a very impressive 62-28 beat down. Looks like the Bulldogs have come to play!!!! Let's get to the GOW for week 4!!!!!

Week 4 Game of the Week:

We have some doozies lined up in week 4!!!!!!

Alpha Conference:

The Vanuatu Reef Raiders take on the Bay City Bohica, what a game!!! Both teams are Alpha conference powerhouses, and the winner of this one may lead the Alpha conference for the rest of the season, although there are a few other Alpha teams that may disagree with that statement.

On the Zeta side......

Take your pick, we have several games that could be games of the week, as usual in Zeta.

Sumatra and Newcastle face each other for the 4th time in their storied history. Sumatra has yet to lose, but the Ghosts always give them a good game, and I'm sure this will be another good one!

The Perth Cyclones, who are sitting at #3 after todays 1 point victory over Atlantis, takes on the Arkansas State Red Wolves, who are in 4th place.....for now. I think this will be a good game, but Arky will pull out the victory to remove Perth from their 3rd place position in the rankings.

And in what is one of the premeir games of the season, the current Zeta conference leader, the Kalgoorlie Gold Rush, takes on my own team, The Red Elephant Club from Alabama...

This game should be a classic. Both teams have solid depth, backing up great talent at all positions. The Gold Rush brings only one QB, a very talented level 45, Justice 'No Mercy' Quarrie . Bama starts a level 52 QB, Ole Junior Favre, with his back up being level 42 QB J Barker. Who will win the QB battle???

If Bama pulls out the win, this will definitely shake things up in the Zeta conference. If the Gold Rush come away with the victory, it will solidify their #1 ranking, with only a few teams left to unseat them. Definitely a game to watch!!!!!

As always, good luck everyone!!!!!!

And my pick for the Bama vs Kalgoorlie game.......

No problem, and thanks. I'll try to get around to doing a real game recap for week 4, for both conferences. I have fun with those.

You're welcome. But you know, I just realized I didn't pick a favorite for the Alpha game....shame on me!!!

I would really like to pick the Raiders, since they beat my own team in the season opener. They are a stout team, that can play with the best. But barely beating the AREC in the first game of the season, going up against some AREC second stringers as starters, doesn't make you the best team around.

I have no clue what a Bohica really is....but I'm going with Bay City to pull out this win, although I think this will be a very close game.

Now I'm finished...

Why did you have to go ahead and say that? Now we will actually have to gameplan for you guys, at least for a few minutes. The only bending over, will be when we stick it in, and break it off.

You better take care of Vanuatu first...

Agreed, it turned into a hard fought defensive battle, but the best team won. GG.

BTW, like I mentioned last season, appreciate your write ups.

Just a bit of underestimation for the Perth team? GG Wolves!
