How are the Off and Def numbers generated? Cinncinati has scored 7 points all year and they are ranked second in offense?

Ya I know it seems pretty weird
But because they put 7 on one of the very good teams in the league, NOPW, they get that. It decides on who you put the numbers up on, not just the actual numbers. After the season continues these will get more accurate and Cincy definitely won't be ranked number 2.

EDIT: Those is also proven by how my own team is ranked last lol.

The rankings are off. Makes no sense to have a 0-2 team who has been outscored 300 to 7 to be anywhere but last place let alone tied with or ranked higher then obviously better teams, undefeated teams. Maybe you can explain the methodology behind the numbers, because these are not legit.

Read post above yours. It has been already stated how these will become more accurate as the season progresses, which you should have noticed pin the OP.

I did notice that, makes me wonder what’s the point of posting it now if it has no relevance? When can these rankings be considered relevant?

Aside from that, what I wanted to know, which you should have noticed, is how your power ranking spread sheet works? Directing me to post three doesn't help much unless that is the only criteria for defensive ranking.

The rankings don't have an equation, instead it draws its rankings from comparisons.

Quality of play isn't used since I am not doing predictions, although if someone did I wouldn't mind doing QOP.

I will just use an analogy to explain why some of these are existing. When NOPW and Cincy played, New Orleans blew them out, but because a bad team scored on New Orl they recieve a higher Offensive and New Orl gets there Def rank down because they gave up those points to that team. It would be the equivalent of a high school team scoring on a NFL team.

But as Cincy plays teams that are equal(in rankings) to them and lose there rankings will go down. As New Orl puts huge amounts on teams equal to them(in rankings) their offensive ranking will increase. Also, putting huge points on CPU teams or teams that really suck won't increase your ranking.

I put these up just for the fun of it really, there is nothing else going on and getting alittle activity going on here is what I am trying to do.

I think your spreadsheet sucks ass like your team!!! j/k...thanks for putting them up, let's see if it makes a difference over the next few games.

They are starting to become pretty accurate now, you guys are 3rd OVR, 5 Off, and 4 Def, with Cincy down to 14 OVR.
