Hello and welcome to this week's Power Rankings for Eastern Europe AA #4.

This week was fairly quiet at the top of the Rankings, with a mere two teams swapping spots and everyone else holding fast. With the Playoffs looming and just 3 short weeks left before the end of the season, anything goes.

My Power Rankings rely heavily on recent history to determine where you stand. A good record is also paramount but there might even be a bit of a disparity between teams with similar records depending on how tough their recent opponents have been.

Note: I'll continue to use my current system for the rest of Season 2 but beginning with Season 3 I'll be using a slightly modified system which will take last 4 Margin of Victory weighted against the W% of each specific team you faced in order to get a better feel for how well a team is performing. This should eliminate mathematical ties. And don't worry, you essentially get a 0 modifier by blowing out teams with no wins or 1 win.

So, without further ado:

The Top Ten

1. Odessa Falcons (13-0) Last Week (LW): #1
The Falcons hold strong to their #1 spot this week after an easy game over the Chernobyl Radionuclides. A big congratulations goes out to Falcons QB Bigold Kuxi, the first QB in all of Eastern Europe (that's right, every league) to throw 30 TDs on the season. The Falcons continue a small stretch of easy games with a contest this week against the Subotica Scorpions.

2. Krakow Cows (13-0) LW: #2
The Cows continue their dominance of the Alpha Conferance with a big win over #8 ranked Fehervar Enthroners. The rest of their schedule is filled with teams who pose little threat to the imposing Cows, and it begins this week againstthe hapless Florida Buccaneers.

3. Warsaw Warriors (12-1) LW: #4
The Warriors racked up thier 4th straight win with a 24-7 showing against the 7th ranked London Head Hunters. This moves them up a spot to #3. This week they go up against the winless Sidney Tire Irons before their last true test of the season: A May 24th contest against 4th ranked Tricity Hares.

4. Tricity Hares (12-1) LW: #3
The Hares slip a spot, despite a win over the struggling France Fire. They face off against the St. Petersburg Storm, a team that has been doing fairly well as of late, holding two very good teams to a mere 19 points combined before winning over the Tire Irons. The Hares cannot afford to overlook these guys or they might find themselves in a tough spot before they face off against the Warriors.

5. Dallas Smoke Stacks (11-2) LW: #5
The Smoke Stacks push their winning streak to 10 with a dominating win over former Top Ten team, the Moscow Bears. Their matchup this week should be relatively easy, as should the rest of their schedule. They close out their final three games against the Charleston Roadwarriors.

6. Minsk Ninjas (11-2) LW: #6
The Minsk Ninjas comducted a clinic against the Baker Mountain Bucks, dominating the former Top Five team with a 52-0 thrashing. The toughest part of their schedule is now behind them and they begin an easy three game stretch with a home game against the NISSA Dauphins.

7. London Head Hunters (10-3) LW: #7
Despite a heartbreaking loss to #3 Warsaw Warriors, the Head Hunters hold fast to their #7 spot. Look for them to bounce back against the Haguenau Coyotes, before closing out their final two games against two teams that have a combined total of 4 wins.

8. Fehervar Enthroners (9-4) LW: #8
The Enthroners did their best but they couldn't compete with the Krakow Cows. Despite this loss, they hold on to their #8 spot in the Power Rankings and currently hold the #4 seed within Alpha Conference. They participate this week in the game of the week against #9 Tallaght Outlaws.

9. Tallaght Outlaws (9-4) LW: #9
The Outlaws continued their winning streak, which now stands at 5, with a 35-0 win over the Leceister Lynxes. They look to extend that streak to 6 with a win over a very strong Enthroners team, a game which very well may decide who has the home field advantage in what will likely be a rematch in the first round of the playoffs.

10. Volgograd Berserks (8-5) LW: #10
The Berserks hold on to their #10 spot with a win over the C-Town Hoodlums. Their last three games are against teams in the middle of the pack, and the Berserks are hoping to finish out the season strong and go into the playoffs with some momentum behind them.

Down 10-0 with under 12 minutes to play? That's what I'd call a tough spot. Great comeback by the Hares, I really thought we had pulled off the shocker. Flacco was great in the 4th and the receivers found ways to get open in the clutch.

Good game Tricity. Can't wait for the rematch next season (unless you move up, of course).
