Margaritaville Fins:
vs. Chicago Pterodactyls:
Score: 51-6
Prediction: Fins 42-10 over the Pterodactyls
-Both teams went very heavy on the passing and had success. The key to this game was the turnovers. Chicago ended to many drives with interceptions, 3. The game would have been much closer other wise. The Fins managed to only throw one, thus their drives were extended and points were put on the board. Even though the score didn’t show it as much, it was a gutsy effort by Chicago and gutsy tactics.

Play of the Game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=3697323
Player of the Game: My pick for player of the game was Redding Otis (WR), 15 Rec, 238.5 yds, and 2 TDs.

North Side Dream Killers
vs. Jacksonville Stars
Score: 24-0
Prediction: Dream Killers 41-6 over the Stars
The key to the win by the Dream Killers was rushing and defense. They controlled the clock and managed two picks. The Stars managed to get drives going, but then the offense would stall around mid-field.

Play of the Game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=3701059 (for the blocking, not the run)
Player of the Game: My pick for player of the game was Cromartie Sanders (CB), 8 Tkls, 3 Pd, 1 Int.

New Hampshire Dragons
vs. Harrisburg Hawks
Score: 23-20
Prediction: Dragons 30-13 over the Hawks

This was definitely the game of the week. The Hawks did everything they could to scrap for a win. Their rushing was not very affective, but they did pass efficiently. The Dragons had an efficient offense, but the turnovers almost killed them. The Hawks lost the lead with 22 secs left in the game. The Dragons started their game winning drive with less then two minutes and 75 yds of field to cover. They struggled up the field and the Hawks had them on 4th downs twice in the drive. The Dragons completed a 54 yrd pass with 48 secs left to set them up for the go ahead score. It was a heart-breaker for the Hawks who find themselves on the bubble. Great game fellas.

Play of the Game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=3702223
Player of the Game: My pick for player of the game was Jonny Firestorm (QB), 170 yds, 2 TD, 2 INTs. I have to give it to him for the effective two minute drill.

Rutgers Scarlet Knights
vs. Carolina Cardiac Cats
Score: 13-20
Prediction: Knights 27-17 over Carolina Cardiac Cats

Although the game was predicted to be close, the Cats get the award for the upset of the week. This was not a pretty game. It was purely a defensive battle and the Cats won it by holding the Knights to .8 ypc. The Knights find themselves in a huge battle to snag a home playoff game. With their final 3 opponents holding a record of 33-6, it will be a tough road. The Cats have two very tough games left and might need to win one of them to get into the playoffs.

Play of the Game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=3694538
Player of the Game: My pick for player of the game was Vincent Younger (QB), 225, 2 TD, 2 INT.

Waco Green Puffers
vs. Miami Road Frogs
Score: 43-10
Prediction: Puffers 48-3 over the Frogs

The Puffers passed the ball all over the Frogs. They managed 333 yds passing in this confidence boosting win. The Frogs did manage to put up 270 yds in the game, they just couldn’t convert the yds to points. Waco kept causing turnovers and getting sacks when it counted the most. Waco needs to keep it up to secure a home playoff game. It will be tough because their next two games are against the #3 and #5 teams in the conference. They would all but secure a home playoff game with a win next week. It will be a huge game.

Play of the Game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=3699720
Player of the Game: My pick for player of the game was Oso Rosso (QB), 320 yds, 3 TD, 1 Int.

Atchafalaya Swamp Weretigers
vs. Elk Rapids Elks
Score: 16-7
Predictions: Weretigers 24-3 over the Elks

My prediction that the Weretigers will win out and sneak into the playoffs is still alive. The Weretigers managed to run the ball efficiently and atleast put up field-goals with many of their drives. The Elks game-planned well and attempted to win by passing, but they couldn’t avoid the turnovers.

Play of the Game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=3702110 (ended the Elks last drive)
Player of the Game: My pick for player of the game was Pretorian Gaard (G), 10 pancakes.

Washington Poison
vs. Pocono Mountain Highlanders
Score: 16-6
Prediction: Poison 13-10 over the Highlanders

Washington played a very balanced offense. Their offensive line dominated the D-line, but they could only convert the great O-line play to one TD. It was a game of field goals. The Highlanders just couldn’t manage to get into the end-zone and their two field goals brought them up short.

Play of the Game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=3695731 Sorry boys, if you have something better, let me know.
Player of the Game: My pick for player of the game was Scott Fallon (K), 3/3 FGs.

Orlando Ninjas
vs. Cleveland Kardiac Kids
Score: 10-12
Prediction: Ninjas 10-6 over the Kids
Well, this game was yet another defensive battle. Orlando threw two interceptions, and they are lucky they didn’t lose their two fumble, or they would have lost by more. Cleveland allowed 190 yds passing, but their run defense was sick. It wasn’t the prettiest win, but Cleveland managed to squeeze out a win.

Play of the Game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=3694516
Player of the Game: My pick for player of the game was Clay Mathews (LB), 7 tkls, 3 tfl, 1 ff.

I can't believe we lost that game. Two big plays and we were done. Good job Carolina, we were out gameplanned and outplayed today. James42- what is Smith's speed? Geez that guy is fast.

I just wanted to say thank you for the great write up, very enjoyable read and your time and effort that goes into these reports is greatly appreciated.

You have a very good reporting style that comes across very well when you speak both good and bad. that is a very hard feat to acomplish and you do such a great job at it.

Since it can't be said too much, i will say it again, thank you for the time and effort.

Good stuff as always CRich. Went for broke and got busted against the Fins. Actually learned a lot about my team. "They are who we thought they were!" Ha! A little disappionted Otis didn't sing the National Anthem!

Cant tell you that but I will tell you that it is never good to be able to see your starting CB's skill set. Wow for a high level he is terribly slow. I've seen DE's run faster then him

Again great job. Those Hawks really pushed us. Next game against the cats is going to be another tough one.

THEN after that we have Waco. Should be a fun week!

I'm certainly proud of my team for their performance, we were outmatched and we outplayed them. Certainly a tough loss to take, but a ton of positives.

I wouldn't say we were outplayed. But turnovers and miss tackles will kill any team (besides the fins ). You guys did have a great game plan no doubt about it.
