Warrior General Games

Ok guys, sorry I missed on my game of the week threads the first two weeks of the season. I know everyone has desperately missed them........

Let me catch up on where we are after todays games.....

We have had 2 great weeks so far, with some very interesting games so far. Bama loses in week 1 in a close fought match, to Alpha conference favorite, the Vanuatu Reef Raiders. Not a shocker, but a suprise to some.

The Solomon Island Savages lose 45-44, in a nail biter, knock down drag out game against conference rival Guam Gamecocks. Terrific game there!!!! Do we have a new rival???

Sumatra pulls out a close win against the Melbourne Gators in todays game, edging them out 50-44. I'm sure the Gators would like one more chance to take a bite out of the Seahawks!!!! And they may get that chance in the playoffs.

The iue5 Sorcerers and their old foes the Newcastle Ghosts squared off once again since season 7 today, and the Sorcerers pulled out a hard fought win, pulling ahead in the last seconds of the game, to win 43-35. Great game!!!!

And the Arkansas State Red Wolves gave us a close game today, against the KSU Wildcats, winning just 31-30. But don't let the score fool you, the Red Wolves had control the whole game. Great job by KSU trying to make the comeback!!!!

In one of the most intriguing games of the day, the Brisbane Bulldogs fall to the Kalgoorlie Gold Rush 40-13, in a rather lopsided game. Beating the Bulldogs this convincingly, establishes the Gold Rush as one of the Zeta Conference leaders, and the team to beat.

There were even more great games played, but let's move on to the GOW's for week 3, coming up next!

Week 3 has some interesting games, but it looks more like teams are settling into the meat of their season, especially for the Alpha conference.

The Darwin Hardline, coming off two tough losses, faces a tough opponent in the Guam Gamecocks, who just pulled out the narrow victory against the Savages. This should be a very good game.

Also Cook Island and their longtime opponents the Poseidon Tridents face off, another interesting game.

As for the Zeta conference, there is always an intersting game or two that has all kinds of implications! And it's crunch time now, it's getting into midseason where teams start establishing themselves for the best playoff positions.

Brisbane Bulldogs vs the Melbourne Gators....Solid matchup here!!! Both teams have 1 loss, and a win here moves the victor way up. I like Brisbane here, and a solid victory by the Bulldogs should make them feel a bit better about their loss to the Gold Rush.......

The Alabama Red Elephant Club vs the Endzone Warriors......

The Endzone Warriors have somehow worked their way into the second position in the conference rankings so far...
And one of their GM's, "conanrex", has expressed his opinion and discontent with how bad the O-AA 2 forums are, and how they are not "informative" enough, and that the forum has become a "train wreck"....and that there has been a sudden drop in IQ...and we are all 13 "something" year old brats..obviously alluding to all the new team that joined the league this season.

Well i wasn't too convinced.No disrespect, but that was more of a poor performance from our GM's than anything else. Any decent team in GLB could've and should've beat us handily with the garbage we put out there

While I agree that Tide and yourself have valid points, conanrex's is also valid. I don't know how much you guys frequented OAA#2 before coming here, but it was much classier/informative/fun than it is now. And I'm not saying that it's all of the new teams that came up as I was looking forward to the renewed matchups and posts from most of you, but it does suck having to deal with racist, nonsensical drivel that some are posting on here.


Also, what happened to Brad? He doesn't post anything and wins his first two games, is this going to become a superstitious type thing for him where we'll only hear from him once he loses again?

I'm not really sticking up for anyone, I'm a big fan of the middle road...

I know, and also ocassionaly have to remind myself, that this is just a forum, from a harmless football game. Lot's of different folks post here, from all kinds of different walks of life, and everyone is different, and they are also entitled to their opinions, and their own goofy and quirky sense of humor. Also, as much as I love football, if all we did was talk football constantly on these forums, I would be bored to tears, and definitely wouldn't participate in these forums. I have plenty of Bama websites to talk about football till I'm shitting little crimson colored, football shaped turds!!!

Granted, as a respectable and somewhat normal adult, I'm offended by certain things, comments, opinions, ideas, what have you. But, just like in these forums, I also experience these things in my real life encounters with other folks, as does everyone else that lives in America, and I choose to ignore them. If folks become obscene, and go beyond what is in the realm of normal and accepted behavior, then of course that needs to be moderated and controlled.

But for conanrex to post that this forum needs to be moderated, because folks posting are not up to his level of intelligence, reeks of arrogance, and aristocracy. And to make a blanket statement that we are all 13 year olds, really irks me. He just strikes me as a complete prick.....
