During today's interview I will be talking to former Cabelleros quarterback Jon McNabb. He was traded to another team just before the second game of the season.

------------------------------------------------------------

Q. It's been awhile Jon McNabb. How are things going with you lately?

A. Good and not so good; being on a new team is a learning process, especially when your team chemistry is holding u back; but i like the team we have, and as long as we sign the key players to deals, we're looking really good for next season.

Q. Have you been watching how the Cabelleros have been performing?

A. Yes i have, and i'm very impressed; they look really good this year; i'm glad too, because the owner is a great guy, and i look at him as a friend, and i always wish my friends the best.

Q. How are things with your new team?

A. Up and down; we're an expansion team so it's a rocky road; when ur trying to build up your team and then the chemistry gets blown to hell because of signings, it makes it rough; but we're getting there.

Q. You are also part owner of that team aren't you?

A. Yes; my agent is in the ownership position, and i've bought into the team

Q. What decision made you decide to pick up and leave the Cabelleros?

A. It's what was best for both sides; John Cash was sitting the bench, and he deserved to start; i got an offer from another team, which was a good offer, and talked to the owner of the Cabs; jointly we decided it may be best to do that so that John Cash could get a chance to start.

Q. Its obvious that John Cash benefited from you being traded to your current team. Have you been tracking his progress?

A. He's maturing into a great quarterback; i hope that i imparted a little of what i know to him; he's leading the team's offense very nicely, and due to him being a backup for almost half a season, i think he benefited from watching me play and learning the team's offense.

Q. He was your understudy for a little less than half a season while you were with the Cabs. Did you show him EVERYTHING you know?

A. Ha ha ha; you never pass on EVERYTHING, just enough to get his confidence up, then u gotta let a new guy learn for himself; we all take our bumps and bruises from time to time, and i would've hated to deny him that opportunity

Q. Do you like the Cabs chances of making the playoffs this year?

A. Making the playoffs? heck, they better do more than make the playoffs, they better go deep!

Q. Who would win right now in a arm wrestling tournament? You or John Cash?

A. (Laughing hysterically) sorry Cash, but ya just can't touch me in that department; he may be more of a ladies man in the club, but when it comes to strength, i think even he would give that to me.

Q. Do you think your current team could beat the Cabelleros?

A. I wish that one day we could find out; i think it would be a great game; maybe we can talk to the commissioner and try and schedule an exhibition during the off-season, it would be great. Thanks for the interview, and I wish u guys nothing but the best; good luck in the rest of your season.
