Now Cowthorpe has a 5 a side soccer team called Torpedo Cowthorpe so it kind of stemed from there.

Steel Rain is a MLRS term for the way the rockets explode in the sky and rain steel. When I was in the Army I spent a year in Korea with a MLRS unit.

Regensburg was just a German city name that was not already used that we found on wiki. Donner-Kuppel means Thunder Dome in German that is our stadium name.

Hey mattlee why is your team name your city name and your city name your team name?

Shouldn't it be Cowthorpe Torpedo?

Also does your city only have one Torpedo? How about Cowthorpe Torpedos or what ever the plural version of Torpedo is maybe Cowthorpe Torpedi or Cowthorpe Torpedo'ers or Cowthorpe Tacos would be cool IMO.

The Ingolstadt Hat Tossers got it's name from a Madden franchise that several of the original GMs and I played several years back when you could still do multiplayer (2001?). One of our GMs Wicked_Cthulhu had the funny habit of smashing controllers against the wall when his players didn't do what he wanted and it got to be so expensive that we decided to all wear hats and throw them at the walls in leiu of controllers. So we named the franchise team the Burundi Hat Tossers since everyone knows that Burundi makes great hats.

Ingolstadt is a small German city in Bavaria. It is the birthplace of the Bavarian Illuminati founded by Joseph Weishaupt and figures in to the Discordian religion in several tracts as well as being one of the back drops for one of my favorite novels of all time, "The Illuminatus Trilogy".

The Black Death migrated to Stockholm in 1710. Kyrkogården Stadium was born from its ashes and the football team followed shortly after.

Bruges Biaviians: Bruges is simply a city in Western Europe. I try to stick with the requested theme. It is often mispronounced when read. It is pronounced like "brooj". For the explanation of Biaviians you can visit the team website for a full explanation: http://www.glbwiki.com/index.php?title=Bruges_Biaviians

While there, feel free to peruse our trophy case

I had a 2 year contract that did not include training for my first enlistment. So that turned out to be a little over 2.5 years. When I got out I went directly to the Army National Guard for another 2 years. So it was a little over 4 years. So from late 93 to early 96 I was in the Army and from early 96 to 98 I was in the Army National Guard.
