------------------Next game listed is the first regular season game. This will be the last set of rankings until after the first game is played. I think it is close enough and not much is going to change over the next couple of days. For the new people I pick what I think is 2 games of the week every set of rankings. Since I didn't fully break down the East, these will be mere guesses this time.---------------------

rank------team--------rec-------------last rank------next game---------notes

#1 Cardinal Redbirds----(0-0)--------(1)-------Gaines Panthers------Despite a 1 point win and a loss so far this preseason, they remain the team to beat. They continue to be active picking up players into the early preseason. The regular season schedule sets up for them pretty nicely also.

#2 Alberta Mounties------------------(0-0)-----(2)--------Minnesota Maulers-----No change for the number 2 spot either. This team will be solid with active GMs. They catch the Redbirds early which might play right into their hands.

#3 Moose Jaw Grizzles----------(0-0)--------(4)-----Calgary Mustangs ------First team to move up a spot in the power rankings. The addition of a QB plus some OL and LB help, helped the move. First game is against maybe the best team in the east followed by a very good Port Royal team so it will be interesting to watch the start of their season.

#4 Hogwarts Wizards---(0-0)-----(7)-------Moncton Machine------One of the first big early movers, the Wizards made a bunch of moves since the last set of rankings and also have currently the lowest chemistry of any team in the West. The schedule doesn't play out too well. With the low chemistry 0-3 could be very possible. If they can fight past that they should be fine.

#5 Yellowknife Eskimo Hunters----(0-0)----(3)----Montreal Hawaiian Punch--------------The team that has done nothing since the last set of rankings and because of it has fallen some. After the Punch, the first half the schedule is managable. Once they get to Alberta it turns into a land mine.

#6 Port Royal Acadians-----------(0-0)-----(6)-------Gravenhurst Ghost Ridahz -----Very winnable first game for these guys. Since the last ranking this team has made some minor adjustments to their roster.

#7 Thunder Bay Sharks---------(0-0)------(15)---------Waterdown Mighty Ducks------A new owner makes this the biggest moving team since the first preseason rankings. Once again the preseason doesn't mean much but the teams they are scuduled to play should be blow out wins by doing nothing at all and they are definatly not which raises some red flags. We will just have to wait to see how they perform for real.

#8 Shadow Spartans--------(0-0)-----(9)-------Flin Flon Flyers-------They have made enough improvements to get them in as the 8 seed for now.

#9 Montreal Mutants--------------(0-0)------(5)------Toronto Frost ------------Usually with the chemistry factor loyalty means something in this game called GLB. This season with the long offseason and long preseason,a loyal team like the mutants suffer while others spend tons of money bringing new players in. That is ok because they just might get there revenge. After a winnable game against Toronto they have Hogwarts, Thunder Bay, and Cardinal up. Some teams with chemistry concerns and a new team still trying to figure it out. That stretch could get them right back into the playoffs.

#10 BC Bruisers--------(0-0)----(8)-----Gergovie Les Gaulois------A 20-0 team in the BBB leagues is only good enough for 10th place up here. Once again it is only preseason, but 2 blowout losses doesn't look good.

#11 Saskatoon Fighting Gamecocks--(0-0)---(10)----Windsor lumber jacks--------could have a confidence building start to the season. The first 7 games are very winnable for this team.

#12 New World Order------(0-0)-----(11)------St. Clair Ice Hawks------They are going to get hit very quickly with some playoff teams so we will have to see if they can last.

#13 New Colgne Bears--------(0-0)-----(12)----Niagara Tyrannosaurs------------I see another rough season coming up for these guys.

#14 Medicine Hat Mavericks----(0-0)-------(13)-------Pennybridge Pioneers--------They could get out the gates in a hurry, but after that it might turn ugly for these guys.

#15 LoneStar Cowboys---------------(0-0)--------(14)-------Thunder Bay Terrors--------Still a ways to go to build this team up.

#16 Yukon Badgers------------(0-0)--------(16)-------Prince Rupert Catsharks-----------This team is in way over their head.

I still have some issues on defense so i dont know if we deserve the #4 spot but I appreciate it. Im hoping we get these filled asap though or its really going to be rough for us.

When we fumbled on the 3 yard line with 1 minute to go in the half that would've only put us down 4 pts, with the ball at half, but instead you guys return it for a TD making us go down 18....I knew it was over. http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=552112&pbp_id=2497433

It may be winnable, but your game with the Bruisers next week won't be easy... Looks to be a good one. =)

Sure does....any team that can wheel off 20 + wins in a row is bad ass , Hate to draw a team like that so early in the season but we have to play the schedule so we best bring our A game early.
