The Story: After proclaiming his awesomeness to anyone who was willing to listen early in the season, loudmouth Torpedo Cowthorpe HB Wilson W. Wilson, Jr. was beaten mercilessly by the relentless verbal assaults of myself, merenoise, and several others. His penchant for fumbling at the most inopportune times surely had Cowthorpe owner mattlee123 grinding his teeth incessantly throughout season 8. In fact, the whole of Cowthorpe Nation breathed a sigh of relief when Wilson packed his bags and headed to the free agent market.

The Story: In an effort to announce the Tossers' arrival in the A league, Ingolstadt owner merenoise laid out the master plan to conquer all: but a season plagued by ill-advised gameplanning and AI glitches left the Tossers watching the playoffs from the sidelines. This season, merenoise throws out all of his best-laid plans and has adopted the old Kobenhavn strategem--sign as many high-level players as you can and dominate the competition that way.

The Story: Once hip hop exploded onto the WEA#1 music scene in season 8, AZ felt the urge to create this thread as sort of a "if we were real teams and this was real football this is the music we would come out to in our real stadium" tribute.

The Story: The origin of the thread is pretty self-explanatory, and is something that those of us who came up with the Torpedo Cowthorpe in season 6 have gotten used to. This thread ignited following a mid-season route of the Cowthorpe courtesy of the East Cairo Argonauts and then quickly fizzled as everyone in the league realized the Cowthorpe were not, in fact, going to win much of anything. Ever.
