I agreed at some point this off-season to put together a pre-season rankings list as I see it.
This usually leads to some pretty good banter which the forums could use right now. Please keep in mind that I dont have access to builds, so I am somewhat limited in the information that I have. I will try and break each team down the best I can. Remember, this is my time that I am donating so if you dont like the rankings then GET OVER IT.

I will try and get this completed this weekend. I will add and edit the list as I go.

Mickers took care of the Eastern Conference, so we will go with that. Thank you sir! Well everyone, lets see how it turns out. I am amazed at how close the teams really are. I am convinced that we will actually have to gameplan for most weeks. I always kinda looked forward to those weeks that we could put things on auto-pilot and take a break, but that wont be happening this year. Unlike Mickers, I will rank our team and hope and pray that I am in the ballpark otherwise I am sure you all will never let me live it down. Best of luck this season gang, it looks like it is going to be VERY competitive! I am not exaggerating when I say that positions #1-#10 could flip flop and no-one should be surprised. It is going to be a mega logjam for the final playoff spots. Do not blow off a game or that may be the one that keeps you out!

It's VERY tight in the top 10 to 12 spots. It could really go a dozen different ways.

However, one comment I'd like to make, my team (Thunder Bay Contract Killers) was in the same conference as the Victoria Victory. They started out last season ranked under 40 OVR, got a few players, but mainly they have a level 47 beast of a FB that will let them win some games they shouldn't. You wouldn't really know that though unless you've played against them before.

Yeah, it was chicken shit of me, but if I put them first then I set myself up for ridicule and if I put them anywhere but first my team will hound me. I think Bosphorus and Birmingham are neck and neck for the top spot in the east.

Pre season is a little tough to gauge. No one game plans, or really even spends any time on it.

I think you guys are giving the Newfoundland Destroyers a higher rankin than they deserver, if your goin by starters yeah they are good, however if you are goin by depth they lack in a few areas and have a couple CPU players. i feel their lack of depth at a few positions will knock them down a few ranks to maybe the 8th spot id actually put the Thunder Bay Erratics in the 6th spot just flip the two. that is the only difference between my rankings and your rankings

It's nice to finally have a team that can actually compete with the other teams in its league. When I first took this team over it was in Canada AA then all the players wanted to leave to go to thier owners own team...I basically spent a ton of money creating and boosting my own players for this roster and finally have leveled off to the point that this team can be competative in its current league.

As GM for the Victory, I agree.

Rankings are nice, but they are misleading ... we found some success just by experimenting wildly with our few players on offense, and setting up the tactics to match their talents. And it's quite true, it did sometimes feel as if our FB was carving up defenses all on his own!
